I am 50 and have worked different types of jobs and have learned and gained a lot of experience with each one. My last position was at a corporate office and my position was unfortunately eliminated. I am back here as I always think how my position as a nanny was a fulfilling one. I raised my own child as a single mother. I now see myself taking care of other people's children and being able to enjoy the activities with the children. I was a single mother for 20 years until my daughter went off to university. I also babysat from the age of 12 and even before that I took care of my younger siblings. As an adult, before relocating to Calgary, I was always babysitting my niece and nephew as I enjoyed being around them and treated them like my own. Children gravitate towards me as I have a gentle nature with them and enjoy their innocent views of life and the way they teach us how to see the goodness in people and make us the best version of ourselves. I was a nanny for a 6 year old and 2 year old but started with them when the children were 4 and 10 months old in early 2020.

My name is Olivia and I am a 24 year old student at Mount Royal University, I am currently studying sociology and would like to have my career working with the vulnerable sector. . I have travelled to Italy to be a nanny am currently taking care of identical twins girls in the mornings along with another family of twins and a 5 year old boy that I have mentioned in another part of my profile. I love taking care of children and become very invested in their development. I have experience with taking care of a 6 year old girl which I did last year in Italy. I would pick her up from school, make after school snacks, help her with her homework that she was assigned for that night, play with her and tidy up the toys when we were finished and make a nutritious dinner for her that evening. I also have experience caring for a 15 month old girl and 3 month old girl as well. I do crafts with the older one and play many imaginary games. We also enjoy going to the park together. I help prepare snack time and clean up the house after we are finished.

Also, I am a dedicated individual with a bachelor's and master's degree and my educational background allows me to support children's learning and homework tasks with aptitude. Although I lack formal nanny experience, my keenness to engage with children, especially those aged 6-10 years, goes beyond my work experience as I believe it requires an inherent inclination for this responsibility.
