Graduated in Biological Sciences, at the beginning of my career I worked for a secondary school as a teacher (math and science) and volunteered in a hospital lab as a biologist. Then I worked for more than 20 years as an IT Analyst in various business areas like banking, insurance and retail. Then, I moved to Calgary at the end of 2013 with my husband (who works as an engineer), and my daughter who is taking a master degree in Biological Science at the University of Lethbridge. Once we moved to Canada, I volunteered for over one and a half years as a Childcare Assistant for Immigrant Services Calgary. Volunteering helped me gain confidence and improve my English. Moreover, I rediscovered my passion for children, and that convinced me to get all the certifications I needed to work in childcare. Firstly, I got a certificate as Child Development Assistant in April 2015. Then, in July 2015 I got my driving license and in September the certification in First Aid and CPR from the Red Cross. One of my main interests is staying and working with children. During my volunteering activity in Childcare, I was appointed “Volunteer of the month” (November 2014) by Immigrant Services Calgary for the outstanding support given during the previous months. Then in June 2015 I got the certificate of appreciation for outstanding volunteer contributions to the Mosaic Preschool Programs. I worked as a nanny of two boys (3 and 5-year-old) from September 2016 to June 2019 and then for a 3-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl from September 2020 to July 2021. I also teach Italian to children at the Italian School Calgary since September 2018 and to adults at Dante Alighieri Society of Vancouver. My favorite hobbies are reading, walking and cooking. I am caring and sensitive. My being sociable helps me build good relationships with children and my goal is to provide them with essential care and education. 1- Volunteer as a Childcare Assistant for Immigrant Services Calgary in 2014-2015 and YMCA IN 2015-2016. I assisted teachers in looking after infants, toddlers, and preschool children. My duty was to provide children with essential care (preparing meals and snacks, feeding, dressing, bathing, changing diapers, helping children keep good hygiene, supervising and monitoring the safety of children) and education (telling stories, arranging age-appropriate activities, setting up play corners). 2- Occasionally baby-sitter in 2016 of a newborn and two girls of 2 and 5. My duties were preparing meals and snacks, feeding, dressing, bathing, changing diapers, playing with them, light housework. The schedule was flexible, depending on the parents’ needs. 3- Nanny of two boys from September 2016 to June 2019. I took care of the two boys who were 3 and 5 years old at the beginning. It was a part-time job of 3 days a week (about 10 hours a day) from September to June, with a break in July and August. My duties were packing school meals, get them ready to go to school, dropping and picking them up at the bus stop, light housework, cooking and feeding the kids in the evening, bathing them, driving them to school, swimming-pool, doctor, parties, parks, etc. Occasionally I took care of them while the parents were on trip for a few days. Italian teacher to kids of 4-6 at the Italian School Calgary since September 2018. 4- Italian teacher to kids of 4-6. 5- Nanny of 3-year-old boy and 1-year-old girl from September 2020 to July 2021. Certification as a Child Development Assistant from Alberta’s Government. Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC), level 7. Bachelor of Science with a 4-year degree in Biological Science.

Hello! I am Xavier, an 18-year-old resident of Chestermere with six years of extensive childcare experience. Thanks to my certification from St. John's Ambulance, I've been professionally babysitting since 2017. Not only am I certified in Emergency First Aid and CPR (for infants, toddlers, and children), but I am also well-trained in swimming. My versatility extends beyond caregiving and safety, though. I'm adept in various housekeeping duties and have culinary skill. On top of these practical skills, I bring creativity and a love for the arts to the table. As an enthusiast of English, literature, and art, I can engage your children in diverse and intellectual activities. In terms of the age range, my experience is indeed broad: from newborns and toddlers to pre-schoolers, pre-teens and upward, I have cared for them all. Given my qualifications, I am looking both for full-time and part-time babysitting positions, preferably in a live-out arrangement. I am committed to providing an inclusive, safe, and engaging environment for up to three children. My services also extend to walking dogs, bathing and dressing children, doing laundry (both the children's and family's), ironing, helping with homework, and cleaning the entire house. As a non-smoker who is immediately available to work any day of the week, my mission is to serve your family's unique needs while ensuring the utmost care and respect. If there are any questions or if you'd like to discuss this further, feel free to reach out. Looking forward to possibly becoming an integral part of your family's routine. Please, take care! I was certified for babysitting in 2017 by St. John’s Ambulance and been working since then, Emergency First Aid and CPR certified also by St Johns Ambulance in 2017 (including infants, toddlers, and children), did swimming training for years, good at housekeeping duties, and able to cook.

My name is Jasleen and I was born in Italy and moved to Canada with my Punjabi family at a young age. I am now a university student at Mount Royal University where I am progressing towards a Bachelor of Science degree hoping to pursue a career in medical care where I can help others in need. Along with the university, I am overall a very active individual and love doing activities that involve moving around. This includes sports such as soccer, bike riding, and swimming as well (where I used to be a lifeguard). Sports aside, I enjoy doing household and other chores that involve being active and maintaining a sharp mind, which is important as well around children. Along with being active, I am a very outdoorsy person. I love spending time outside, especially when the weather is getting warm and I am able to take myself and the children to parks and such because that is something they enjoy doing as well and it could be beneficial for them so that they are not sitting inside on screens all day and taking full advantage of the warm weather outside! I do not have any professional experience where I have been paid, however, I have taken care of the children of my family and friends. I adore children and taking care of them and spending time with their innocence is something I would love to do. I am a very patient and calm individual and I understand that is very important for children, no matter what age, as it is a part of them growing up. I would love to be a part of something that helps my understanding of children and taking care of them when a parent or guardian cannot!
