I am a university educated nurse-turned-nanny with a passion for caring for babies/toddlers/pre-schoolers! I have a nurturing, warm and youthful spirit and my super-power is to make little ones feel safe, seen and special. I have recently worked for a family with a toddler and another family with a 5 year old with ASD. I have extensive experience caring for children with special needs (including supporting them 1:1 in JK/SK) and am also comfortable caring for children who are sick. For 6 years until 2021, I served as a foster parent to little ones aged 2 months to 14 years. I was a Registered Nurse for 23 years until leaving that profession voluntarily to pursue other caring opportunities that energized me. As a caregiver to littles, I am gentle, patient and attuned. I enjoy being active and outside, dabbling in arts and crafts, reading, singing, dancing, exploring life via STEM activities, participating in playdates and playgroups, and generally having fun while encouraging and promoting developmental and emotional growth and healthy attachment.
My professional, volunteer, and personal references are excellent. I am inexperienced with dog care though am comfortable with most dogs.
I look forward to connecting with your family and to possibly getting to know and love your precious little one(s)! I am most interested in joining a family that plans to become their nanny's formal employer with 25-40 hours of guaranteed hours/week.
I LOVE caring for little ones and have worked with children in many capacities: including schools, hospitals/clinics, homes, camps, orphanages, churches, recreation centres. I am passionate about childcare!
