I was an elementary school teacher in France for 26 years. I arrived in British Columbia just over three weeks ago. I would like to continue teaching or work with one or more children as a nanny, which is a role I can easily envision myself in. I have three children of my own, aged 22, 20, and 13. My two adult children are responsible young adults, and my teenage daughter, like her siblings, is filled with respect for her peers, her parents, her family, as well as for property, places, animals, etc. I cannot imagine raising my children any other way. As a teacher, I know how to earn respect while also being loved by my students. This is something I hold dear; I believe it is important not to confuse kindness with leniency. It is essential to provide a child with a great deal of well-being and confidence, and this is achieved by setting boundaries. A child who has no understanding of frustration is an unhappy child. Therefore, whether with my own children or with my students, I have always found the right balance to help them flourish and become wonderful individuals. During these 26 years, I taught children aged three to eleven. I also worked for two years with children aged twelve to sixteen who had severe psychological disorders. Being a nanny could be a great way to build a strong bond with a child and their family. I am currently attending Ottawa University looking for a part time/occasional job. I am very patient, creative and responsible. I have worked with the elderly community for awhile now which gave me tips and tools for better patience and communication. I can also drive anywhere if need be, tutor, help around the house and cook meals. I have 2 children, my son is 8 and my daughter is 6 I am always with children and I think the reason children tend to like me a lot is because I give them my 100 attention and they appreciate it. It worked my hole like all sorts of jobs 14 years old I was packing and working as cashier at a corner store than worked in construction plastering and tapping then grew older had my children and was a full time stay at home mom, then I starded my own cleaning business with my sister after that my sister had her own daycare at home I helped with that unfortunately my sister had physical disabiliti which caused her to stop the day care as she couldn't really love anymore. Since then it worked cleaning in hotels and just recently worked as Molly maid employee.
