My partner Martin and I are looking for care for 7-year old son (grade 2). The three of us (and one kitten) live in Inglewood, and Martin is a professor at U of C, and I work as a lawyer downtown. Moses attends William Reid, where he started in October. Our former babysitter, whom we found on nannyservices when Moses was a baby, has just had her own baby so we are looking for someone for occasional weekend and evening babysitting. We don't expect to need regular school and/or after school care, but we would need after school care from time to time. We hope to find someone who is looking for a flexible schedule and with whom we are a good fit. Moses loves to read and loves art and 90s hip-hop. He loves playing all kinds of ball sports and we have the riverwalk park behind our house, and he likes to go out there to throw a baseball around or play soccer. He also enjoys walking around the neighborhood browsing the used record store and bookstores or visiting the Esker Foundation. It would be a bonus to find someone who could do art with him or help him with homework (which will be in French). But these are not requirements. Our household is vaccinated and ask that the caregiver is as well.

We are looking for a provider for limited hours and just one child to free up both Mom and Dad for some extra work (Dad Chester is a pastor, Mom Anna is a social worker) and time to connect with each other. We live within walking distance of three parks and the C-train so there will be plenty of outdoor options accessible without any driving. Our home is equipped for play and life with a preschooler. Looking for someone who genuinely enjoys screen-free time with kids, creative play. Music/Art/sports are all a plus. We have lots of books in the home and some of them are Christian (kid's bibles, veggie tales) - some level of comfortability with Christianity preferred. Hours and pay likely to increase as (mom) Anna goes back to work more, but we're looking to start at $20/hour and just 8-10 hours per week. Perfect for someone looking to supplement their other income, going to school. We are very flexible with when the hours will be, both days of the week and times of day - we can accommodate your schedule if you're a good fit otherwise.
