We have a 5-year-old son on the autism spectrum (ASD) who is affectionate, playful, and thrives in a calm, structured environment. Role Overview We are looking for someone who can provide a nurturing, stable, and attentive environment for our son. Responsibilities include: - Engaging him in play and developmental activities (reading, interactive play, etc.) - Assisting with daily routines, including diaper changes (not yet potty trained) - Supporting emotional regulation during moments of dysregulation - Ensuring a safe and supervised environment at all times Ideal Candidate: - Patient, calm, and positive personality (he responds well to warm and engaging caregivers) - Experience with autism or special needs is strongly preferred - Strong communication skills (he is minimally verbal, so clear verbal and non-verbal communication is important) - Fluent in English - Minimal exposure to sickness during non-working hours Additional Details: - Hours would be after school 1 or 2 days a week (4pm-8pm) and occasionally on weekends (if available). - Occasionally extra hours in the week for special occasions such as business travel - We are a supportive and involved family and will work closely with you to ensure success If you are compassionate, dependable, and interested in making a meaningful impact in a child’s life, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities will include caring for our newborn, bathing and dressing the baby, preparing meals for the child when appropriate, doing children’s laundry, light housekeeping related to childcare, cooking, and helping with errands or grocery shopping as needed. A valid driver’s license is required, and the nanny must be able to use their own car for the position. Location: Richmond Hill, Ontario Position Type: Part-time, sporadic/as-needed Ideal Candidate: College or university student studying Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field We are looking for a caring, responsible, and dependable babysitter to provide in-home care for our children when they are unwell and unable to attend daycare. This is a sporadic, as-needed position rather than a regular weekly schedule. Care may be required on short notice when one of our children is sick, so flexibility and availability during weekdays are important. We have either a 1-year-old or a 3-year-old requiring care, depending on who is ill. Responsibilities For our 1-year-old: * Provide attentive and nurturing care * Diaper changes and personal hygiene * Prepare and provide meals/snacks and age-appropriate feeding * Put child down for their nap and monitor during rest time * Engage in age-appropriate developmental activities, including reading, play, music, and sensory activities * Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment * Follow parents’ instructions regarding routines, meals, naps, and care For our 3-year-old: * Provide attentive and nurturing care * Support with toileting as needed, including wiping after bowel movements * Prepare and provide snacks/meals * Put child down for their nap and monitor during rest time * Engage in developmentally appropriate activities, including reading, crafts, imaginative play, and other age-appropriate activities * Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment Light Housekeeping During the child’s approximately 2-hour nap period, responsibilities may include light household tidying related to the children, such as: * Cleaning up after meals/snacks * Washing children’s dishes * Tidying toys and play areas * Light sweeping/vacuuming in areas used by the children * Folding children’s laundry or other light child-related household tasks The primary responsibility is always the care and supervision of the child. Housekeeping duties are light and should only be completed while the child is safely sleeping or otherwise does not require active supervision. Ideal Candidate We are especially interested in someone who: * Is currently enrolled in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related college/university program * Has experience caring for infants and/or preschool-aged children * Is patient, warm, nurturing, and genuinely enjoys working with young children * Understands age-appropriate child development and activities * Is reliable, responsible, and comfortable caring for a child independently * Is comfortable providing care to a child who is mildly ill and unable to attend daycare * Can follow parents’ instructions and maintain established routines * Has strong communication skills and can provide updates to parents throughout the day * Has a current CPR/First Aid certification or is willing to obtain one * Can provide references and, ideally, a police/vulnerable sector check Schedule This is a sporadic/as-needed position. There is no guaranteed number of hours per week. Care will generally be needed during daytime weekday hours when a child is sick and cannot attend daycare. Advance notice may not always be possible, so candidates who have a flexible school schedule or availability during weekdays are ideal. Compensation: $20-22/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
