Experienced and Caring Nanny Needed for 12-Month-Old (Mount Pleasant/Riley Park) We are seeking a compassionate, nurturing, and experienced nanny to join our family and support the growth and development of our daughter, who will turn one at the end of December. This position is offered at 30 hours per week minimum with additional hours and a day added if preferred and suitable for the employee and the family needs. Family Needs: This placement is located in Kitsilano and is for a spirited and busy family with three energetic daughters (ages 11, 12, and 16), two working parents, two dogs (6 year old friendly labradoodle and 1 year old shepherd puppy). They are looking for a child/youth centered individual who is patient, mature, and organized. This person will work collaboratively with the parents when it comes to the care and guidance of the children. Somebody experienced with older children would be preferred and good communication skills are essential. The employee will be responsible for all childcare, household and dog related duties throughout the day. Our puppy is close to 100 pounds so comfort/familiarity with large breed dogs is helpful. The 11 and 12 year-old children get themselves back and forth to school. Afterschool activities include playdates, supervision with a small amount of homework, games, and crafts. The 16 year old manages herself independently. Household duties include a 30-45 minute walk with each of our dogs, family laundry, general tidying, meal preparation and a small amount of ironing (1 hour per week). We do have a house cleaner who comes weekly to assist with heavy duty cleaning (bathrooms, etc.). Driving is not required; however, having a driver's license is an asset. This is a non-smoking environment. The girls would like somebody who knows how to do french/dutch braids.
