We are a family of 4. My husband and I and our twins. No pets, non-smoking. I work from home as a graphic designer and also do some photography work. My husband works an office job full-time during the week. Our background is Filipino and so we are very hospitable, respectful, reasonable and caring. We are in the downtown core of Hamilton and our home is on a quiet street, with the convenience of parks, public transit and a grocery store within walking distance. We would love to find someone who not only supports us, but can be an extension of our family...someone we will grow to love and trust!
Why we need help
We need someone to be home with the girls early on Mondays and Tuesdays when we have to work at the office (we leave early for our morning commute). Our parents take over for the afternoons. Your support is mainly to help us fill the early morning gaps we're now faced with as we've begun working at the office. We may occasionally ask if you're available for week day evenings and weekends as well.
Is this you?
A punctual, morning person/energetic early riser, able to make a long-term part-time commitment (once the girls start daycare, we'd love for you to continue supporting us on a new afternoon schedule if your situation allows), is fully vaccinated, have CPR/first aid training, is fun, loving, very reliable, responsible, patient and trustworthy, maybe have some ECE or montessori background (but not required), is a great and open communicator verbally and through the Whatsapp messaging app, is good with technology (monitoring systems, receiving e-transfers, digital devices and appliances) has experience with twin toddlers, is comfortable with helping out with light housework (laundry, floors, vacuuming, meal prep, cleaning), and have references that I can contact. Whether you tick off some or all of these boxes, I'd love to learn more about you!
7:30am - 12noon
Occasional evenings and weekends (with ample notice)
We're happy to give annual bonuses starting the successful completion of 1 year of service, provide CPR recertification each year, free photography sessions and paid meals and admission to any events/attractions whenever you might join us.
I first like to chat a bit back and forth within the site and move on to do a zoom/video call. After that, I would love to meet for coffee at a local spot in the city to chat in person. We would schedule an intro/play date for you to meet the kids. I'd also take some time at this point to contact your references. Once these steps are done and we feel comfortable and confident that we're a great fit for each other, we can start when we both agree on a first day for training.
Hope this gives you a bit of background info!
