Information about, and requirements for, my 90 year old parents: - Saturdays and Sundays, every week - 4pm - 6pm - need someone (preferably a female) to prep, cook and clean up dinner. Mom supplies the recipe and will have all the needed ingredients. She sits in the kitchen with the caregiver and can provide verbal help if needed. - Mom has COPD and cardiomyopathy, and tires very easily. She also has a hearing loss, so needs someones who speaks good, clear English, without any accent - Dad is blind, but is amazingly independent, with no physical ailments, and no medications, other than eye drops. - Both are cognitively healthy, and very sharp for their age - live 15 minutes north of the airport - no pets - no smokers (mom quit about one year ago) I live in California, so my phone number is long distance. However, I have a long distance phone plan and can call anyone interested in this position. Just message me and I’ll call you, and/or we can have a Zoom type/FaceTime meeting. I will be visiting my parents April 24-May 6, and can also meet you, in person, at that time.

I am searching for a compassionate, reliable Live-in Caregiver to join my household. The ideal candidate will have a natural aptitude for health care, demonstrate good judgement and dependability in their work. As a Live-in Caregiver, your principal tasks will include providing companionship and assistance with daily activities. You will be expected to prepare and serve meals to nutritional standards, as well as ensure a clean and organized living environment through regular housekeeping. Your responsibilities will also extend to laundry, meal planning/preparation, cleaning bathrooms, and vacuuming. Work hours will vary from 20 - 30 hours/week, with a required schedule covering Monday through Friday nights, and full days on the weekends. Rest assured, room and board will be provided as part of your engagement, and you will be working within a welcoming home environment. Please note, a driver's license is not a requirement, and car use is not applicable for this position. In terms of safety and security, a criminal record check will be conducted to ensure the welfare of the household. This is a full-time, part-time position, starting as soon as possible. Live-in caregiver available Monday to Friday / 24 hours a day. Note: PSWs presently come in the morning until approximately 10AM – they prepare mom for the day and make breakfast. Meal preparation required for lunch and dinner. To be available if mom awakes in the evening and requires assistance. Prepare mom for bed time. Ensure that medication is properly administered including inhaler. Accompany mom to medical appointments when required. Monitor and track mom’s BP, HR and weight. Housekeeping as needed, laundry, vacuuming, dusting, put out garbage. Caregiver has a private room and access to the house including the kitchen, bathroom, deck and backyard.
