I am a quadriplegic male and I am seeking extra help with meals, stretches, showers, dressing, companionship and catheter. I am fairly quiet and I have a soft voice - so unfortunately it is difficult to hear me. I enjoy learning new things. I've noticed that you some patience with me because I am slow to complete most physical tasks. I use a battery operated sit to stand for my transfers. My hope is that it is a good relationship, which leads to more hours.

I’m looking for someone caring and dependable to help out with my dad, who is 87 years old. He’s a widower (my mom passed in July 2023) and honestly one of the friendliest, most patient people you’ll ever meet. He loves chatting and being around others. Dad has normal pressure hydrocephalus, walking is no longer an option so dad splits his time between his favorite living room chair where he reads, watches T.V and enjoys his non scheduled naps, and his wheelchair where he'll literally run laps around the main floor of the house with. Everything dad needs is on the main floor so obstacles such as stairs are not in the way. We live in Gatineau and are bilingual, but ideally we’d like someone who speaks English, since Dad feels most comfortable communicating in that language. What we need is someone who can: Be patient and supportive. Help with day-to-day activities and getting around Offer companionship and encouragement along the way Dependable and reliable, this is important as I need to know that you'll be here on time and that dad is well taken care of while I'm away at the office. We're looking for someone who can be here Mon - Friday and is ideally willing to come in on weekends as well (mornings only). If you’re kind, reliable, and enjoy helping people, we’d love to connect with you!

My mom is 78. She is in the early stages of Alzheimer's but the disease is noticeably progressing. Her number one complaint is loneliness and her confusion and stress are greatly reduced when she has company. My sister and I are trying to meet her needs the best we can and are new to navigating this chapter. We are hoping to find a companion a few times a week from afternoon to evening. Times, wages, duties are all negotiable. Reaching out is the first step..
