I am seeking a dedicated and experienced caregiver who can help provide senior care for traditional Ukrainian, Russian, or Polish speaking families in North York, Thornhill, or Richmond Hill. As a caregiver, the main role will be offering assistance to the elderly members of these families. The preferred start date is 26.01.2026. The chosen caregiver will need to work flexibly for 3 or 4 days a week which includes: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with varying hours of morning, mid-day, and evening shifts. Please note there are no overnight shifts and a driver's license is not required for this position. The positions available are both full-time and part-time, offering 20 -30 hours per week and however, the position is strictly live-out only. The caregiver's responsibilities will include ensuring our family members have the assistance they need with various tasks. This role specifically includes assisting with bathing, toileting, range of motion exercises, basic housekeeping tasks like cleaning bathrooms, doing laundry, and perhaps helping with basic meal preparation and planning. In addition to these, one may also be required to assist with grocery shopping, running errands, providing assistance with mobility, and escorting to appointments. Importantly, some members may need help with mobility and possibly help with showering. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively in Ukrainian, Russian, or Polish, have previous experience in a caregiving role, be patient, compassionate and enjoy providing help to those who need it. You will be compensated with $18.5 CAD per hour for your efforts.

This role entails not only providing physical assistance but also providing emotional support, so a compassionate nature is essential. The preferred start date for the position is immediate. What the job involves: As a live-in support caregiver, you will be expected to assist with a variety of tasks including housekeeping, meal planning/preparation, vacuuming, bathing assistance, bed bath, operating a Hoyer lift, aid in dressing and grooming, and maintaining a clean bathroom. Regarding the patient's schedule, you would be sharing responsibilities with another person, with your shift ending between 11:00 - 12:00 pm, or perhaps a touch earlier. It should be noted that the patient generally sleeps through the night, which means your role primarily includes being present in the home during that time. Who we're seeking: The ideal candidate will be someone with experience caring for individuals with dementia, demonstrating patience and understanding in such instances. You should have a reassuring and kind personality, reflected through strong references and clean police check. A driver's license is not required for this position. Compensation & Benefits: The successful candidate will have a comfortable living arrangement with all amenities included. The commitment involves 40 - 50 hours per week, covering shifts from mornings to nights, across all seven days of the week.
