My name is Natalee, a proud 37-year-old woman hailing from a Jamaican background. I have found a genuine passion in offering loving care to the elderly, stemming from a two-year experience as a caregiver for my beloved grandmother. This obligation, born of necessity, turned out to be a fulfilling journey where I've embraced the wholesome feeling of offering care in the most empathetic way possible.
From feeding, cleaning and changing diapers to taking her on walks and even singing her favorite songs, each moment spent in ensuring her well-being has seen my love for caregiving bloom. I bring the same dedication and diligence in my role as a mother for my beautiful daughter and a companion for my mother.
Apart from caregiving, I have a penchant for reading and keeping a pristine living space. I pride myself on honesty and trustworthiness and believe in working harmoniously within a team. I am looking forward to working with a family that respects and values its caregivers.
I am flexible and available throughout the week, including mornings, evenings and nights. Committed to starting work from 20th January 2025, I am open to working full-time as a caregiver or companion. My duties can range from personal to household, including assisting with toileting, meal planning, housekeeping duties, escorting to appointments, planning visits and offering Alzheimer/Dementia care among others.
My work experience has seen me offer care to patients diagnosed with incontinence, diabetes, and dementia. I am comfortable working in a home health care setting, retirement homes, or a clinic/hospital environment. As a non-smoker, I am also equipped to work with children with disabilities. I prefer a live-out arrangement but am willing to relocate and travel if needed.
Though I am a Jamaican citizen, I communicate effectively in English. I am willing to obtain a police check for any potential role. In essence, I am a woman who loves to serve, driven by a sense of satisfaction in making others' lives a bit more comfortable and happier.
I did not work for a company, but for the last two years of my grandmother's life, I had the opportunity to be her caregiver. I fed her, took her to doctor appointments, showered her, did her laundry, made her favorite meal, played games, and sang her favorite songs with her until she passed away peacefully.
