We are looking for a tutor for our daughter, who is 7 years old and autistic. Subjects will primarily be Math and English, and will be ideally taught through play and hands on learning. Our daughter is currently in grade 2 and school is facilitated from home. She works with a number of specialists including academic tutors, behavioural and speech therapist as well as music instructors to assist in her development and engage her interests. She shows some signs of giftedness which we also want to nurture. This will be 2-3 sessions a week 2 hours per session for the 2024/2025 school year. We are looking for someone who is patient, creative in approach, and has an open mind to learning styles, and above all else kind and nurturing. Tutor will be provided access to working with our BCBA to guide successful sessions, and all materials required.

I am currently seeking an in-home tutor for my Grade 1-2 students, focusing primarily on English and Math subjects. As a tutor, your main responsibility is to guide my students in enhancing their skills in these areas and facilitating a productive learning environment in our home. Qualified applicants should have the ability to prepare educational plans per subject, that correspond with their school curriculum. You will also be charged with the task of cultivating a deep understanding of these subjects, while also emphasizing reading and writing skills during your engagement with my children. Your work schedule will be less than 20 hours per week, primarily during the late afternoons- after school hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Please note, as this position will involve direct in-person contact with my grade schoolers (age 6-10), a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) is mandatory to ensure their safety and wellbeing. Since this will be an in-person tutoring position, it's essential that you reside in the Milton, Ontario area. In addition, you should have at least 1-2 years of tutoring experience, and a genuine passion for working with young kids. The preferred start date for this position is September 4, 2024. Jason is a man with brain injuries, (from a 1999 pedestrian-automobile accident). He is friendly, eager to learn and has a sense of humour. Jason has a long-term Rehab & Care Program based on Neuroplasticity, the ability of the brain to form or reorganize neural connections in response to learning and repeated experience. The Program has eight modules. Jason has made steady and significant progress in his speech, motor, cognitive and social abilities. He is computer literate and can work on computer-based learning and rehab programs. He lives alone, with support, in his own condo for 16 years. We need a coach / tutor to help Jason improve his cognitive abilities: reading, discussion, reasoning, problem solving. We use stories, radio news, computer games, television shows, card games. The objective is to stimulate the mind and enjoy the work This is an interesting opportunity for a student aiming to make a career in the Teaching or Health Care professions. Over the past 16 years, many university students have worked with Jason. We normally pay $20 per hour but will consider your qualification and experience for a higher rate. We set goals and review progress. We follow Provincial COVID-19 rules and guidelines. Our policy is to require each team member to be fully vaccinated as soon as eligible. I'm seeking a qualified and engaging tutor to support the education of my two children, who are in Grade 2 and Grade 4. The tutor's chief responsibility will be to help them develop their Math and English skills. The tutoring sessions will be held at our home and the preferred start date is the 1st of October, 2024. We are available for tutoring : Mondays and Fridays - after 3pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays - after 10am and finish by 5pm. I am looking for someone who could help my 4.6-year-old son learn to hold a pen for writing and guide him to start writing. He is set to start Senior Kindergarten this September 2024, but he is very reluctant to sit down to read or write, or even draw anything. Currently, he attends speech therapy sessions, but is very impatient to sit and learn. Next year, he will proceed to Grade 1 and needs to be more prepared. Hence, a lot of hand-holding or close supervision is needed to help him read and write. We need someone who has past experience teaching kids to read and write. We need someone to come to our house to help him with his learning needs for 2 hours in a week and then slowly increase to 4 hours a week. Thank you.
