I am in need of assistance for shopping using a wheelchair and engaging in good conversation. The preferred start date for this position is 11.09.2025. The work schedule required is Thursdays in the middle of the day. A driver's license is not required as the family can provide a car for use on the job. We are looking for a kind, gentle, patient person to care for our senior parents in their home. Our father has suffered a few mini strokes and walks with a walker and may require assistance in certain situations. Our mother has dementia, balance issues, and incontinence. We’re looking for someone that would be our mother‘s companion helping with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry. Essentially, we are looking for help to anllow our parents in their home. A drivers license and car would be nice to help them go out on errands and doctor. appointments.

The ideal candidate for this job, is a caring person with experience dealing with completely blind clients. Main job duties would be to assist blind lady with daily housekeeping chores. Taking her to and from her medical appointments, placing drops in her eyes, light housekeeping chores, as well as grocery shopping and being a general companion that includes walks.

Looking for a caring and reliable individual of Asian background (would be a plus if Cantonese speaking) to help support a senior patient at the Health Sciences Centre (William Street, Winnipeg). The role involves bringing home-cooked Chinese or other Asian meals to the hospital and spending about two hour with the senior during mealtimes, twice daily (lunch and dinner). Duties: • Pick up (we could also drop off) freshly prepared Asian meals from a private residence (location to be arranged) and if you do meal preparation that is more east Asian cuisine that would be very helpful as well (soft rice, meat, vegetables). • Deliver meals to the Health Sciences Centre on William Street • Sit with the senior for approximately one-1.5 hours during each meal, providing friendly company and assistance as needed - Do light leg and hand exercises in bed. • Commitment: Two visits per day (lunch and dinner), days may vary has some family can come during off-shift times to support - can discuss. Ideal Candidate: • Experience with Asian home cooking preferred • Friendly, patient, and dependable • Able to drive and has access to a vehicle for meal pickup and delivery • Previous experience with seniors or in a caregiving role is an asset Compensation: Competitive, negotiable based on experience and availability If you are interested, please reply with a brief introduction, your availability, and any relevant experience.
