Remove linens and replace with fresh linens. Make beds sweep uncarpeted floor surfaces, wash uncarpeted floor surfaces using products that are suitable for flooring type. You may need to clean larger mirrors, take out garbage, help sort ad or organize items, replace seasonal clothing items in cupboards. When general unkept has not been performed on a regular basis and a more in depth cleaning is needed ( ex. someone has been hospitalized for 2 months) Observe, report and document to the appropriate managers any changes in patients physical and emotional condition. Requirements Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of dementia care and senior care practices is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with Residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
