I'm Emily and my husband Shaun and I are looking for a Household Assistant to help us out for 9 hours per week, ideally starting some time in March (flexible). Please ignore the specific days/times on the calendar here, they just made me pick specific ones. Who we're looking for: - We're hoping for someone who can come in three days per week, for three hours each time. - We're very flexible on which days and what times, and we'd like to work with you to find times and days that work for both of us well! - We need someone with their own car and driver's license for running errands - We prefer a candidate with previous professional cleaning experience, but it's not required if you're a diligent and detail-oriented person who knows they like cleaning :) - Must be able to communicate fluently in English as unfortunately both of us only speak it - Someone very comfortable around big and small dogs and cats (see below) Duties of the Role: - About half the time will be taken up by house cleaning, including laundry and ironing, which would occasionally include special projects like cleaning the inside of the oven or the fridge. - The other ~half of the time you would be doing things like: - light meal prep for the week - going to the grocery store to get the weekly groceries - other errand running like going to the pharmacy, stopping by our storage unit nearby for something, etc. - taking the dogs out to the backyard and watching them closely - organizing a closet, drawers, or a room - driving one of us somewhere - assisting my husband with small to-dos like hanging pictures on the walls And other similar tasks In the nicer weather, a few outdoor things like: - repotting a plant - watering the (large) garden - wiping down the outdoor furniture - sweeping the deck - taking our Pomeranian on a walk - removing vines from the fence/lower walls of the house etc. About Us! We live in downtown Hamilton, Ontario (near York and Dundurn). We're both young professionals who work from home, so we'll be here when you are, as will our three dogs and cat. Our home is a three bedroom, small but with a big backyard. We don't have any children (yet!), and we're pretty conscientious, friendly people :) **** IMPORTANT! We have three dogs (two Great Danes and a Pomeranian, who are all very sweet but excitable, so the chosen candidate must be completely comfortable around big dogs (and ideally like them!). The larger Great Dane is 185lbs so we mean big! That being said, we of course will carefully introduce you to them so everyone is safe and happy.
