I'm looking for a friendly, kind-hearted individual who can fill in for me as the temporary companion for my beloved Shihtzhu. For a stretch of 5 weeks beginning on May 13, 2025, my cuddly little guy will need a temporary home. He's pretty laid-back, but his playful side shines through quite often, so a companion ready for sporadic bursts of energy would be perfect!
The task will require taking care of this little guy within your own home, where he can find comfort and familiarity. He's used to a routine of two meals a day, and thrice daily walks which don't have to be particularly long, hence some experience with small dogs would be a huge plus! Your responsibilities will also include attending to his grooming needs, specifically, brushing his fur and his teeth, an essential component of his regular upkeep.
Availability is key for this role. As his temporary companion, you will need to be present throughout the week, at varying times of the day including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights since he enjoys taking multiple naps during the day and enthusiastically engages in playtime. I need someone who can be attentive to his needs and be there for him while I'm away.
This role is certainly a hands-on experience, requiring commitment to care for him around or more than 50 hours per week. The importance of this role isn't to be understated, as his well-being is my top priority.
