We are seeking a part-time live-in PSW to work with our client located in North York 3 days per week permanent position every Sunday 9 am - Wednesday 9 am. Ideal caregiver match will be an individual who is a self starter, organized, patient & empathetic with the ability to prep, cook and serve healthy meals, maintain the clients household and offer genuine conversation & engagement. Client prefers female caregiver who is able to commit to long term role with them with minimal disruptions to the 3 day per week schedule. Compensation: $235.00 per day Caregiver will receive full 8 hours sleep every night with own private bathroom and room. Position will begin on May 21st, 2024 to work with client primary caregiver to learn the in's & out's of the role and expectations, once this is complete the position will begin independently ongoing June 2nd. Mom is a highly functional 96-year-old who is still remarkably proficient in many facets of her daily routine. However, she needs assistance with her medications, morning shower, hearing aids, and dental care before breakfast, and similar tasks at night before bed. More importantly, Mom will greatly benefit from having someone to converse with at the start and end of each day. She's had six children, pursued a career in medicine, and travelled extensively, and now, in her twilight years, she's facing all the challenges that come with her age. We don't need a single person to cover all of these time slots, so if you're interested in helping for only a few, please respond to our request. Thank you.

Live-in caregiver available Monday to Friday / 24 hours a day. Note: PSWs presently come in the morning until approximately 10AM – they prepare mom for the day and make breakfast. Meal preparation required for lunch and dinner. To be available if mom awakes in the evening and requires assistance. Prepare mom for bed time. Ensure that medication is properly administered including inhaler. Accompany mom to medical appointments when required. Monitor and track mom’s BP, HR and weight. Housekeeping as needed, laundry, vacuuming, dusting, put out garbage. Caregiver has a private room and access to the house including the kitchen, bathroom, deck and backyard. No personal visitors allowed.

In search of a dedicated and organized full-time caregiver to aid our elderly mother suffering from dementia in her own home. You would primarily be required from Monday to Friday, from 10 to 4 pm and possible more in the future. You would provide invaluable assistance such as maintaining general cleanliness of personal spaces, attention to detail, meal planning, preparation with some cooking preferably 2-3 times a week, laundry, and day-to-day tasks that can enhance our loved one's quality of life. Although a driver's license is not mandatory for this role and automobile use is not applicable, experience with or willingness to work with dementia patients is necessary. Gtube, trach care and bathroom assistance (briefs) needed for now but he's working to be more independent with help of phsy and occ therapy. regardless of his recovery we will need help for long term for his and our family's peace of mind . He is positive, mentally sharp, affable, polite, respectful of his support helpers as well as cooperative.
