Looking for a one-time, 1-hour cleaning service for my rental suite in Victoria. The main priorities are the inside of the fridge and the bathroom shelves/cupboards. The rest of the time can be used for basic cleaning like wiping, dusting, and vacuuming of any surfaces that look like they need it. I’m willing to negotiate a set price for the hour. I am seeking a reliable and meticulous housekeeper to join our household team part-time, commencing on the 13th of March, 2025. The initial working schedule is set for once a week, specifically in the afternoon on Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays, though this is likely to increase in the future. Your main responsibility will be maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our home's interior and immediate external areas. This includes, but is not limited to, kitchen cleaning tasks such as handling the dishes, cleaning the inside and outside of the fridge, cupboards, oven, dishwasher, pantry, counters, and floors. It will also involve cleaning the exterior of the oven, fridge, and dishwasher. The desired candidate should be comfortable with performing household chores efficiently and attentively, as well as managing their time effectively. We have a large house with three lovely children in James Bay. Our home is conveniently located and walking distance from downtown. We also operate a small vacation rental guest suite from our house. The position is part-time, live-out and primarily limited to weekdays. We offer flexibility in the number of hours worked per week (between 8 and 20) but need consistency once we have established a schedule. Our preferred schedule is three days per week (ex: Monday, Wednesday and Friday) for approximately 5 hours per day (ex: 10am-3pm). However, we have flexibility with this and are open to other scheduling arrangements for the successful applicant. Please note we may require occasional weekends according to our needs. The start date for the position is immediate. Duties of the position include but are not limited to: Conferring with household members to determine their housekeeping needs Performing cleaning duties such as dusting, mopping and vacuuming. Cleaning kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, livings rooms Laundry - stain treating, washing, drying and ironing. Changing bedding as required Grocery shopping as needed Preparation of meals. Must be comfortable preparing family-friendly food and able to follow recipes Organizing cupboards and other household items Cleaning the fridge Running the occasional errand We provide: fair wages based on experience, supplies/equipment, a flexible schedule, and a collaborative work environment.
