I'm searching for a caregiver for my grandfather. We already have a team however I'm looking to add a new member. I need a team player who understands that communication is key. This is a caregiving job, not a babysitting job. PAB certification is a major plus but not a deal breaker, and you must have many years of experience working with seniors. I'm looking for a candidate to fill 2 night shift positions Friday and Saturday(9pm - 9am), 2 day shift positions on the weekend Saturday and Sunday (9am - 9pm), and to be available as a replacement from time to time for other shifts (can be during the week etc.) Tasks: -Bathing/Basic grooming -Toileting assistance -Diaper changing/Cleaning -Walking assistance -Minimal cooking/cleaning -Feeding assistance -Administering medication -Checking oxygen levels -Communicating and working with other team members -Assisting with minimal mobility exercises -Taking notes/updating info on his condition when necessary -Incident reports I need someone who can think quickly on their feet, is observant, and takes initiative. My grandfather lives in his apartment with surveillance. We have people around the clock to ensure his safety. The night shift begins in the evening, overnight, and finishes in the morning when the next member starts the day shift. You are not required to stay up overnight. The weekend day shift is done side by side with another caregiver. If you are eventually selected after training and trial, you will be put on payroll. If you like working in teams and this job interests you, please send me a message. Non-smokers only.

I am seeking a dedicated, live-in male caregiver who can assist me with daily duties and chores, not unlike those mentioned in a profile like that of Sagar P. I am an active, independent, and healthy 81-year-old gentleman who, despite living independently, would appreciate a hand with tasks that have become somewhat burdensome. My requirements include light housekeeping, meal preparation, grocery shopping, laundry services, and other standard household errands. I am fortunate enough not to need any personal care assistance, such as bathing, at present, but I want to establish a relationship with a capable caretaker as a preparatory measure for potential future health issues. The person I am looking for would live in a separate living space within my home, complete with a private bathroom and shower, providing both privacy and proximity for easy assistance. The availability required for the position would ideally cover every day of the week - mornings, mid-days, evenings, and nights. This said, the position does not require a driver's license and the total working hours per week would range from 30 to 40 hours. The person holding this full-time role would need to plan and supervise my appointments, visits, outings, as well to help me with my circle of friends, neighbors, and family. Applicants who have previous experience managing conditions such as Osteoporosis and proficient in post-operative care from Cataract Removal are especially welcome. I wish to stress that although this is a live-in position, I am mostly self-reliant. The applicant's primary duties would be maintenance-related and assisting me with day-to-day errands. This role is ideal for someone reliable, patient, and looking for a stable, long-term opportunity. I am ready to start the selection process immediately. I believe that we can create a mutually beneficial arrangement promoting both my continued independence and your professional development in senior healthcare. So, if you are a candidate who aligns with the above profile, please feel welcome to apply.

An opportunity has arisen for a compassionate, attentive, and dedicated healthcare professional to assist a senior woman living with dementia, Parkinson's, and diabetes. This role is part-time, and is ideal for someone who can provide just a few hours of care in the mornings, preferably in and around 8-11 am from Monday through Sunday. However, flexibility might be required for the right candidate. The core tasks for this role will primarily revolve around senior care, focusing on making life easier and more comfortable for the elderly woman. This includes administering insulin and other medications, bathing assistance, and the management of incontinence care. You might also need to support her with range of motion exercises to help improve her mobility and overall health. With her living conditions in mind, the responsibility of meal preparation and organization also falls under the scope of this role. Your main goal would be to create a nutritious meal plan that encompasses her dietary needs specific to her medical conditions. Companionship is another key aspect of this role. This includes planning visits, outings, trips to visit neighbors, friends, and family, always ensuring her safety and happiness. This role also requires some light housekeeping tasks, including dishwashing, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping as well as laundering, folding, and storing clothes. Bathroom cleaning and patient positioning would be required as needed. It is important to mention that you would need to be comfortable using your own car to assist with any necessary outings. You must also be willing to work with the CLSC chèque emploi service, as they will be paying/subsidizing the salary for this role. The ideal candidate would have experience working with patients who have dementia, Parkinson's, and diabetes, as well as dealing with incontinence and hearing impairment. However, training and support can be provided for candidates who are new to these areas but show a clear commitment and dedication to providing high-quality care. Please note that the chosen assistant would be predominantly living separately; hence, this is a live-out position. This role would be less than 20 hours per week, offering an immediate start for the chosen candidate. Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
