I'm searching for a caregiver for my grandfather. We already have a team however I'm looking to add a new member. I need a team player who understands that communication is key. This is a caregiving job, not a babysitting job. PAB certification is a major plus but not a deal breaker, and you must have many years of experience working with seniors. I'm looking for a candidate to fill 2 night shift positions Friday and Saturday(9pm - 9am), 2 day shift positions on the weekend Saturday and Sunday (9am - 9pm), and to be available as a replacement from time to time for other shifts (can be during the week etc.) Tasks: -Bathing/Basic grooming -Toileting assistance -Diaper changing/Cleaning -Walking assistance -Minimal cooking/cleaning -Feeding assistance -Administering medication -Checking oxygen levels -Communicating and working with other team members -Assisting with minimal mobility exercises -Taking notes/updating info on his condition when necessary -Incident reports I need someone who can think quickly on their feet, is observant, and takes initiative. My grandfather lives in his apartment with surveillance. We have people around the clock to ensure his safety. The night shift begins in the evening, overnight, and finishes in the morning when the next member starts the day shift. You are not required to stay up overnight. The weekend day shift is done side by side with another caregiver. If you are eventually selected after training and trial, you will be put on payroll. My mother is a 75 year old widower who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2018/19. She is bilingual (FR and EN), fully ambulatory, happy and loves dancing and music. She is a currently lives in a Retirement Residence on Ile-des-Soeurs in a one bedroom apartment. I am looking for a series of caregivers to spend their days and/or evenings with her, take her for walks/exercise, activities, etc... She will require a caregiver from 8:00am to 9:00pm every day (she is comfortable by herself overnight for now), so we will be looking for 4-5 caretakers to fill these hours. Applicants must be comfortable/have experience with ensuring proper grooming/bathing. She has a full meal plan at the residence and cleaning services are covered. No cooking or cleaning (beyond basic clearing of dishes/use of dishwasher, occasional laundry) is required. It is very important for caregivers to be reliable and available for scheduled hours and must be willing to work with other caregivers to ensure coverage for any planned vacations, unforeseen absences, etc...
