Job Posting: Housekeeper – Weekly Tuesdays and Fridays in Toronto We’re looking for a detail-oriented and reliable housekeeper to help keep our home clean and running smoothly. Our family includes two busy parents, three active kids, and a large but friendly dog. Details Location: Our home is approximately 2000 sq. ft., located in Toronto. Schedule: Tuesdays and Fridays - every week 9:30 am - 3:30pm Responsibilities Include: Deep cleaning of all rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces. Laundry (sheets and towels only). Changing sheets Kitchen cleaning, including appliances, butcher block counters, and fridges. Bathroom cleaning (3 bathrooms, including showers and tile scrubbing). Managing household organization. Monthly deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., appliance cleaning, furniture stain treatment). What We’re Looking For: Experience as a housekeeper, preferably in a family home setting. Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently without supervision. Comfort with a large dog (Great Dane ) and ability to manage pet-related cleaning. Ability to follow specific cleaning and laundry instructions. A proactive mindset—someone who sees what needs to be done and does it. Clear communication and reliability. Additional Notes: Our household follows a structured cleaning and organization routine, and we’re seeking someone to help maintain this system. We provide all cleaning products and appliances. Live-in or daytime housekeeper and cook who has at least 10 to 15 years experience and with references. Taking care of an Italian, elderly man who is losing vision however in good health, good mind, energetic and involved, and good physical condition. He is independent and a good communicator but needs assistance due to his loss of vision. To prepare breakfast and dinner, sometimes sandwiches for lunch, snacks and nibbles in the afternoon, to accompany him on a walk, have a conversation, and to clean his home. Must enjoy housekeeping and cleaning, laundry and ironing, sometimes work outdoors on the patio and in the vegetable garden, and not just sit to invoice an hourly wage. Must speak English clearly, and preference is for ITALIAN-speaking however not a necessity. Preference is for Italian cooking however we will teach you his preferences. You must know how to cook!!! You must have ideas and initiative. You must be passionate about your work, a perfectionist please. House is a bungalow with a finished basement. A driver's license is an asset. We would also consider an Italian-speaking lady or gentleman to work for 5-6 hours a day starting with breakfast for the next few months if the applicant lives close to the intersections of Eglinton with Kipling or Islington.
