Need someone part time, might be longer. Care for elderly woman. Right now looking for someone for this Sunday September 6 from 2PM to 8PM. For our mom who has PSP. She can’t walk on her own, although she can stand on her feet if she’s leaning against a wall, and needs help to getup and sit down. Needs help to eat, and go to the bathroom. She needs help to walk so someone relatively strong that can hold her and help her walk by guiding her feet.

Diabetes & Medical Management: Perform blood sugar checks, manage a Dexcom CGM, administer insulin injections, and accurately count carbohydrates. Monitor blood pressure and safely manage low blood pressure episodes. Provide routine wound dressing care. Mobility & Personal Care: Assist with dressing/undressing, daily skin care, sponge baths, and feeding. Safely manage transfers and positioning using a Hoyer lift, bed positioning, and wheelchair repositioning. Specialized Care (Preferred): Experience managing colostomy bags and suprapubic catheters.Domestic Support: Assist with meal preparation, cooking, light housekeeping, and maintaining a clean environment. Communication: Maintain clear daily communication and regular health updates with the family/care team. Job Type: Permanent upon completion of training Benefits: • On-site free parking Schedule: 11PM-7AM three days one week, four days the next week (56 hours per two weeks in Montreal), plus 24 hours (minimum) to 48 hours in Vermont every week. Experience: • Preferably has nursing experience/LPN/RN, but PAB (w/Bill90)a super attitude could be a possible candidate Shift: 11PM-7AM for Monday to Sunday.

La personne recherchée devra être en mesure : d’assurer une présence rassurante et d’être attentive aux besoins du patient; d’effectuer certaines tâches quotidiennes lorsque son état de santé ne lui permet pas de les accomplir lui-même; de l’accompagner occasionnellement à ses rendez-vous médicaux; de s’adapter aux besoins ponctuels selon son état de santé. Une expérience auprès de personnes atteintes de MPOC sévère ou ayant des limitations respiratoires importantes est fortement souhaitée. La maîtrise du français est obligatoire.
