I am a hardworking and a very compassionate person. I believe that there is always room for improvement and learning. Honesty and trust are very important to me, they serve as my guide to be able to obtain good working relationships. I worked in Cyprus as a caregiver to an elderly for 4. 5 years. He was 85 years old when I started working for him. He had Alzheimers disease. The first year, he was still very cooperative and can follow simple instructions. But the last 3 years, taking care of him got really difficult. But his children were always there to help. Here in Canada, a few years ago I took care of an elderly who had a hip replacement surgery for almost 3 mnths, 3? a week, 4hrs in the morning. 2019, july-aug took care of an eldely who broke an arm. From 2019 - present Ive been taking care of a 98yr old lady on weekends. The job requires all around care.. administering medications, bathing, preparing meals, assisting her with her daily exercises, keeping her company. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: I also have a driver's license, in case the job requires driving to and from appointments.

I'm Elena, I'm 44 years old, and I live in Decarie Montreal very near Villa Maria metro station. I have an open work permit here in Montreal, Quebec. My kids are already here, two students in high school, and my eldest is working with her father in one company. My hobbies are cooking, singing, and dancing, and I love to communicate. We always attend church every Sunday with my family. I love to help others find a job. I have experience taking care of an 81-year-old elderly woman who was diagnosed with a spinal cord problem. She is not able to walk and move a lot. I give her the medicine prescribed by her doctor, help her clean herself in the bathroom every time she needs to go to the bathroom, cook and prepare her food, do her laundry, and spend the whole day talking to her. She loves having a companion to talk to, and she tells me everything. We share our happiness, and I feel like she is my mother. After spending the whole day with her, I go back home. Sometimes, if she has no one to keep her company at night, I stay and sleep over. I also take care of a special 9-year-old child who has ADHD. She can't talk but she can walk. I shower her, prepare her food and clothes before school, pick her up from school, and cook for her. She enjoys walking and eating.

I was born and raised in the USA. After high school, I had several administrative and customer service jobs ending with a position working as a flight attendant for JetBlue. I left that job to marry my French Canadian husband and moved to Montreal, Quebec. That was 17 years ago. Since then I have worked with a family where I was an administrative assistant for the mother who was a music teacher and helped care for and raise their 2 daughters from the ages of 5 and 8 into their 20's. In addition, I worked as a part-time caregiver for 3 different elderly ladies. I am known for my patience and compassion. In the meantime, I am married and have a family with 2 teenage sons who are active with hockey and music. We reside in Montreal West, Quebec. In the last 5 years I have worked with 3 different ladies. The first lady (Kristine) had Alzheimer's and I would see her twice a week for 3 hours. I would take her to coffee shops, do some shopping, take walks and sit in parks and talk. I did this for 2 years until she passed away. She lived at Le Glenmount where she had a social worker that I would correspond with. The second lady (Kathy) lived in the South Shore. I did grocery shopping and cooked for her but she ended up selling her house and moved to an elder care home. She no longer needs my services. The third lady (Rose) also lived in the South Shore. I did grocery shopping and cooked for her but she ended up moving to a nursing home as well in the last year. I enjoyed working with all three ladies, getting to know them and feeling like I made a difference in their lives.
