I am currently seeking a devoted and compassionate elderly caregiver for my Mother. This position would require full-time availability Monday through Friday, primarily in the mornings and middle of the day, totaling around 30 to 40 hours per week. A preferred start date would be immediate. The position would involve providing careful, thorough, and empathetic supervision to an elderly individual including: administering bedside and personal care, assistance with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, aiding in regular exercise such as walks, changing non-sterile dressings, feeding or assisting in feeding, and providing companionship. Additional tasks would include mending clothing and linens, performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and bathroom cleaning, preparing and serving nutritious meals. Other responsibilities include assisting the patient in dressing and grooming, helping with toileting and range of motion exercises, as well as accompanying the individual to appointments if required. This role doesn't necessitate a driver's license and the use of an automobile is not applicable. A live-in option is available if preferred, however, this is not a requirement as a live-out circumstance will also be considered. The role is physically demanding and may call for bending, crouching, kneeling with a combination of sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time. Repetitive tasks and occasionally working under pressure are also part of this role, hence patience, strong work ethic, and a caring nature are crucial. A candidate with experience or willingness to work with individuals dealing with Alzheimer's, dementia or incontinence issues will be given preference. This position offers an opportunity for those with a deep passion for caregiving, providing exceptional care to our elders while showcasing dedication, patience, and understanding. Caregiver must have at least College Degree to apply.

She is loved by her caregivers !! Ideal candidate is trustworthy, speaks French, Italian is a great plus, has 5 years experience with dementia/Alzheimer’s and able to assume the following primary responsibilities : stimulation activities, companionship, light exercises as outlined by her physiotherapist, outdoor walks, prepare bi-weekly grocery order and putting groceries away when delivered, meal preparation, assist with personal care, and other activities as needed. Light housekeeping, Housekeeping is managed by a cleaning company. We have a structured daily routine that works very well and keeps things simple. Must be Comfortable working in a setting with camera surveillance.
