I recently moved to Montreal to pursue a career in wildlife conservation. I live in a beautiful apartment across Parc Lafontaine with my partner, who works as a journalist. I love to read and watch films, especially wildlife documentaries. In order to find work and pay for my studies, I traveled to an array of different countries. I, therefore, gained extensive experience in multiple different fields. I worked for several months in an elderly home in Bristol. I was usually doing night shifts, working with the nurse, and taking care of ten people. I was doing several tasks, mainly helping them move around, helping them get dressed, helping them use the bathroom, helping them bathe/shower, and feeding them. I also worked with patients with Muscular dystrophy. Informally, I take care of my grandmother, doing her grocery shopping, bringing her places, helping her dress, taking care of her vegetable garden etc. I further live a few months with her every year during the summer. fourthreeeight.eightsevenfive.fouronesixsix.

Hello! I’m Nesh and I have gained experience working as a caregiver/companion through volunteering at nursing homes and working for some families. Being energetic, engaging, patient, optimistic, reliable and caring, are some of the skills I find the most helpful while working in this position. Having worked with elder people has also made me highly adaptable and efficient since some of the people I’ve worked for have required assistance getting dressed, taking their medication, getting fed, etc. Being able to help people with their daily routines and schedules in this job, is a challenge I feel committed to. I’m a sustainability and social responsibility student, I’m fluent in English, and Spanish, and constantly getting better at my French and Italian. I love outdoor activities and being active, so physical strength has also been helpful in some cases. I’m ideally looking for a full time job and a loving family who also cares about respect, patience, communication and empathy. It would be amazing to be matched with a job that covers both of our needs and where we both feel happy and comfortable! I’m more than willing to talk over the phone or meet beforehand to discuss further details! I have some years of experience working as a caregiver, mainly through volunteering. I have experience with elder people, since I used to work assisting them with their daily routines. I’m also familiar with administrating medication, bathing, and giving muscular massages. I’ve encountered routines to be kind of specific for everyone, but I’m highly adaptable and I learn fast. I also have references and I’m more than willing to be interviewed or meet beforehand.

I’m 31 years old, and originally from Vancouver, BC. I moved to Montreal for university when I was 19 and it’s been home ever since. I was drawn to the city because of its vibrant music scene, which I quickly became a part of playing in many bands throughout my 20’s. For work I always wanted to do something health and/or environment related. After graduating from Concordia, I worked at a health food co-op for 6 years. Working in a space like that I became very passionate about food sovereignty and food access, which inspired me to take year long urban agriculture course through Concordia. My plan after that was to receive a DEC in arboriculture, but my plans were about to change when my dad got a 4th prostate cancer stage diagnosis. I spent the next year focussing on getting my drivers license so I could drive out to BC with my dog Pinky, and look after him. I lived with him in a rental where I helped with meals and day to day tasks, errands, and doctors appointments. He passed away 9 months later and it’s been a little hard getting my life back on track to where it was before his diagnosis. Since then, I worked on an organic vegetable farm for one and a half seasons, as well as at Canada post as a letter carrier for 6 months. However working labour intensive full time jobs has been a little taxing as I have had little time to deal with my grief. I am a hard worker and I love working with people, but I am looking for something part time. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask! I have no formal training but I cared for both my parents during years of cancer until they passed (my mom when I was 18, and my dad when I was 29). I am a very compassionate person, and would love to be of service to anyone currently in need.

I come from a big family of 8 children. Raised by caring and supportive parents who instilled in us good moral values. Personally, I can say that I am a caring, patient, well organized, hard-working, honest and trustworthy kind of person. I enjoyed the outdoor (especially taking a walk) but it doesn't mean that I will be bored indoor. I am more of a listener than a talker but leave me with the kids and I can be as talkative as they are. I am single but I love kids. They turned me into a marshmallow but I am firm if necessary. I am not just a nanny but I am a nanny with a passion of contributing something positive to the molding of a child's character. Of course this is all for me to know and for you to find out if you will consider of hiring me. :) Usually I take my cues and feedback first from the parents. Then I study the behaviour and character of the children so I will know how to handle them. I am patient but if needed I am authoritative as well. I play with them and talk to them always because I believe talking and listening to them builds trust and confidence. I always give feedback to parents whether kids did bad or good at the end of the day so parents will know how their kids get by all day. I consider communicating to the parents about the kids' attitudes as very important. why? so, correction, encouragement and development of the kids well-being will be implemented. I began my work as a housekeeper and companion to a very nice and gentle elderly man whom I considered as a father. I worked for him for almost 5 years. As his housekeeper, I made sure that the house is impeccably clean. I am quite a fussy person ( so they say :) ) but I just want the house where I am, to be neat and organized. I considered the house of my employer as my own so I want it to be apt to my standard. Besides living in a neat, clean and well organized surroundings brings happiness, calmness and peace within. During my 4th year working with him, sad to say that he had an aneurysm. So my work shifted a little bit from being his housekeeper to a caregiver. As a carer, being him as a bedridden at that time, I looked after for his well being. I made sure that he was comfortable in his bed. Turning him from time to time so he won't develop a bedsore, gave him a bed bath, etc.. In short, all the necessary works to be done in order for him to be comfortable while he was confined in his bed. The next job I had was taking care of a 95 year old elderly man who had an alzheimer's disease in a nursing home. My job as a companion was to make sure that he will will not feel alone. I always talked to him and asked him questions so his brain and memory will be stimulated somehow. I always bring him outside of the facility so he could enjoy the sceneries and fresh air when the weather permits. I bring him to group activities( music, dance and singing). I also made sure that he is always clean and comfortable( dressed up nicely), and maintain the cleanliness of his beddings and his room as always. Motivated him to eat as well. I always informed his wife about his well being and let them talk on the phone whenever the wife can't visit so she will know how her husband get by at the end of the day. Before my shift ends, I made sure that his teeth were brushed, freshly changed diaper comfortably in his pajama. It made me fulfilled and happy going home knowing that I made Markus( that is his name) happy each day and making his life comfortable on a daily basis. unfortunately, he died two days after I left on my vacation :( He was very kind and nice person and I loved him like my grandfather. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing your loved ones happy and contented. whether they remember or not today's event or whether they are confined in bed with a limited mobility and still embraces and enjoys life daily. :) That is my aim when working with the elderly people. After all, we will go through the elderly stage someday if God permits and I always believe that what you sow, you reap and do to others what you wanted others to do to you. :)
