Our family is in need of a friendly and dedicated housekeeper to join our household. This part-time position is perfect for someone who values effective communication, reliability, trustworthiness, and kindness. We're a family of four, with two university-aged kids. We need a helping hand once a week, ideally between the hours of 3 pm and 7 pm on Mondays, though we can offer some flexibility for the right candidate. You won't be required to engage in heavy cleaning, as we already have a regular cleaner for that, but we need your help with meal preparation, laundry, and kitchen tidying. We're looking for someone who is comfortable to follow recipes to cook healthy, simple meals. We may also require occasional ironing and pantry cleaning, as well as other home storage upkeep tasks when they arise. Key responsibilities will include meal preparation, ironing, occasional cooking and serving on special events for the family if you are avaialble, maintaining the household supplies at all times, and caring for houseplants. We are a young family in Thornhill looking for a kind, reliable, and trustworthy housekeeper / household helper to support us with keeping our home clean, organized, and running smoothly. We are looking to start with 2 days per week, 3 hours each visit. The schedule can be discussed, but consistency and reliability are important. The main help we need is with routine household cleaning, daily laundry, tidying, and light organizing. This may include cleaning the kitchen, bathrooms, floors, dusting, common areas, washing/folding/putting away laundry, changing bed linens, and helping reset the home. Occasionally, we may also need help with deeper cleaning tasks such as cleaning inside the fridge, oven, or dishwasher, but this would not be expected every visit. Light meal prep would be a nice bonus, such as following a simple recipe or helping prepare basic ingredients, but it is not the main focus of the role. We will provide cleaning supplies and are happy to purchase any specific items needed if you can recommend them. You must be comfortable around a large dog. For now, someone will be home while the work is being done. We are offering $25/hour to start. We would like to begin with a paid trial shift to make sure it is a good fit for both sides. Because this is our family home, we require references and a police background check.
