I was born and raised in the USA. After high school, I had several administrative and customer service jobs ending with a position working as a flight attendant for JetBlue. I left that job to marry my French Canadian husband and moved to Montreal, Quebec. That was 17 years ago. Since then I have worked with a family where I was an administrative assistant for the mother who was a music teacher and helped care for and raise their 2 daughters from the ages of 5 and 8 into their 20's. In addition, I worked as a part-time caregiver for 3 different elderly ladies. I am known for my patience and compassion. In the meantime, I am married and have a family with 2 teenage sons who are active with hockey and music. We reside in Montreal West, Quebec. In the last 5 years I have worked with 3 different ladies. The first lady (Kristine) had Alzheimer's and I would see her twice a week for 3 hours. I would take her to coffee shops, do some shopping, take walks and sit in parks and talk. I did this for 2 years until she passed away. She lived at Le Glenmount where she had a social worker that I would correspond with. The second lady (Kathy) lived in the South Shore. I did grocery shopping and cooked for her but she ended up selling her house and moved to an elder care home. She no longer needs my services. The third lady (Rose) also lived in the South Shore. I did grocery shopping and cooked for her but she ended up moving to a nursing home as well in the last year. I enjoyed working with all three ladies, getting to know them and feeling like I made a difference in their lives.
