I am looking for a Monday through Friday responsible housekeeper to assist the family with household chores outside of general cleaning. We live in a single detached house in Colwood. This role will be a minimum of 2-3 hours each day and below are some of the key tasks: - Cleaning up kitchen and dinning room after breakfast daily - Loading and unloading dishwasher daily - Washing, folding & putting away laundry as needed - Changing bedding and hand towels throughout the house periodically - Emptying diaper pail as needed - Checking and replenishing supplies throughout the house (e.g. refilling hand soap, paper towels and etc.) - Consolidate garbage and recycling for pickup every other week - Pickup preordered groceries, cleaning and putting them away - General tidying around the house - Meal prepping for kids The right candidate will need to be fully vaccinated, required to wear a mask while working in the house and dog friendly. This person should have a high sense of personal hygiene and continue to exercise COVID safety protocols in and outside of the house as we have young children at home. This role requires someone who is attentive with a high attention to detail and operate with minimal supervision and guidance outside of initial training as we need someone to take care of us while we work. We are a small family of 3 looking for a housekeeper. I am think either one or 2 times per week. I am flexible on days and times. During the day is best. We have a cleaner who comes once every 3 weeks but I am looking for a little bit more help around the house now. I am looking for cleaning, tiding up, laundry (no ironing) and if you can cook vegetarian meals, it would be amazing!

We have a large house with three lovely children in James Bay. Our home is conveniently located and walking distance from downtown. We also operate a small vacation rental guest suite from our house. The position is part-time, live-out and primarily limited to weekdays. We offer flexibility in the number of hours worked per week (between 8 and 20) but need consistency once we have established a schedule. Our preferred schedule is three days per week (ex: Monday, Wednesday and Friday) for approximately 5 hours per day (ex: 10am-3pm). However, we have flexibility with this and are open to other scheduling arrangements for the successful applicant. Please note we may require occasional weekends according to our needs. The start date for the position is immediate. Duties of the position include but are not limited to: Conferring with household members to determine their housekeeping needs Performing cleaning duties such as dusting, mopping and vacuuming. Cleaning kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, livings rooms Laundry - stain treating, washing, drying and ironing. Changing bedding as required Grocery shopping as needed Preparation of meals. Must be comfortable preparing family-friendly food and able to follow recipes Organizing cupboards and other household items Cleaning the fridge Running the occasional errand We provide: fair wages based on experience, supplies/equipment, a flexible schedule, and a collaborative work environment.
