I am new to Montreal, and am here to pursue dance while working as a research assistant. I studied fungal ecology in my Masters program, and enjoy discussing this subject! I started to get into tutoring by volunteering in an afterschool program when I was 14. I really enjoyed working with the kids and soon found myself teaching swimming and first aid (I am currently SFA + CPR HCP certified and can teach and certify those courses). I continued to tutor part-time throughout my university studies and have also held various positions as a teaching assistant in chemistry. I enjoy teaching others and am adept at altering my teaching methods to suit various ages and learning styles. I am currently working towards a PhD in chemistry at the Université de Montréal. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Waterloo in Biochemistry. I have been teaching/tutoring for several years, primarily in the sciences and high school level math (and potentially CEGEP, depending on the topic). English is my first language, though I do have B2 level French (it would be difficult for me to tutor in French completely, but I am capable enough in French that I could read any worksheets or instructions given in French or explain topics taught in French in English to someone who is more comfortable learning that way).
