Hi! I am the founder of the company called "Descente Project" (www.projetdescente.com) which helps students connecting to the reality of their disabilities; going deeper in them. Even though I work specifically on basic school subjects with my students, I care about the core of their disabilities, not only about the symptoms we perceive at first sight like the so called "bad grade". I know that when a child doesn't succeed in school, there's always a deeper reality underneath which I help them see. It's what I'm really passionate about in this work, because it's from there for example that I could help one of my student to go from 50-60 in English to 85-90%. My business is designed to help students even at an early age to connect to what objectives they want to achieve, to what really interests them. I do my best from there to connect what they need to learn to those goals. When I work with children, I really have at heart their wellbeing; I pay attention to them and their needs. That's why I integrate when the session is long enough academic games, moments to move and to exhale, to relax on the ground. Hi, My name is Karine. I have worked directly on the field in Quebec elementary schools for about 10 years and have been tutoring kids within my own business for 4 years now. I also have a diploma in accounting and I have participate in the launching of the company EATLOVE making healthy chocolates. I also have been practicing Therapeutic Yoga everyday now for over 5 years and did a one year teacher training. Every children I work with gain a lot from this daily practice, from this connexion I renew with myself everyday :-)
