I am very glad to get an opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Jessie . I am from Korea and I have been in Vancouver since 2010. I graduated from Sprott Shaw College with a diploma in Early Childhood Education Program. I am a dedicated and qualified early childhood educator with over 6 years in early childhood education and a passion for children's learning and care, and experience working in preschool environments with children aged 10-months-to-five.
My philosophy is that children are full of natural wonder and curiosity when it comes to everyday life and they explore this curiosity through play. Their infectious zest for learning new things makes it a joy to work with them. I believe that there is a perfect synergy between learning and playing at preschoolers. Playing teaches them how to problem solve, how to make friends, how to express themselves, how to enjoy the world around them, and how to recognize letters and numbers. Children can improve their social development, physical development, intellectual development, creative development, and emotional development through this method of learning. All of these developments help the children in an intrinsically valuable way that will eventually enable them to acquire the skills that they will need in kindergarten and onward. I love being able to see the children grow and develop into their own unique beings. It is such a rewarding job!
