About Us
We are two busy executives based in Paris, Ontario, with three wonderful children. Our professional lives are fast-paced and often involve travel, and we’re looking for someone dependable and organized to help keep our household running smoothly.
While this role is primarily focused on household management, we’d love to work with someone who enjoys being around children and can assist occasionally with school pick-ups or drop-offs. This is not a nanny position — the focus is on maintaining an organized, well-coordinated home and family life.
Location: Paris, Ontario
Compensation: $25 CAD per hour
Schedule: 15–25 hours per week (ideally spread across multiple days)
Overview
We’re seeking a reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented individual to help care for our home and support our family’s day-to-day logistics. The role includes household management, meal preparation, errands, and occasional family support. You’ll be an essential part of helping our household operate efficiently and calmly.
Key Responsibilities
Household Care
- Laundry, folding, and organizing clothing
- Regular indoor cleaning (you will be the primary household cleaner)
- Light outdoor work, such as raking, weeding, and mowing (intensive work handled by professional gardeners)
- Occasional care of our secondary property (approximately once per month)
Meal Preparation & Shopping
- Meal prep and light cooking, including snacks and lunches
- Grocery shopping and maintaining pantry supplies
Errands & Chores
- Mailing packages, returning items, dropping off donations
- Selling items on Facebook Marketplace
- Purchasing birthday or holiday gifts
- Dropping off and picking up dry cleaning
- Managing car appointments (oil changes, tire swaps, etc.)
Family & Event Organization
- Preparing for entertaining (grocery runs, setup, etc.)
- Booking and organizing family appointments (doctors, dentists, haircuts) and sending calendar invites
- Communicating by email or phone with offices and service providers
- Supporting occasional school transportation for our children
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Ability to work flexible hours throughout the week (schedule varies but is planned in advance)
- Comfortable with a dynamic schedule — some weeks may focus on meal prep and household chores, others on errands or family logistics
- Availability across multiple days of the week (not suitable for someone limited to set days only)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Confident using email and calendar systems
- Comfortable making phone calls and communicating professionally on behalf of the family
- Trustworthy, responsible, and able to work independently
- Friendly and comfortable with children
- Experience in household management, personal assisting, or related roles is an asset
