He is currently dealing with the challenges of a developing form of Parkinson's disease and has experienced difficulties with mobility. He can do most basics at his tempo and sometimes needs some help. Paul speaks English and Croatian. He'll require assistance in the mornings and evenings for tasks such as getting dressed, showering or bathing, getting ready for the day, moving around and exercising. He has a pleasant personality and enjoys watching sports, telling jokes, and engaging in discussions about current world events. We need a gentle, competent, honest caregiver who possesses excellent English communication skills. The position is part-time, closely offering between 20 to 30 hours a week. The caregiver must be available mornings and evenings from Sunday to Saturday, completing tasks including but not limited to bathing assistance, dressing and grooming, toilet assistance, range of motion exercises, assisting with walking, patient positioning, bed bath, and specially tailored Parkinson's Care. Given the nature of the role, a driver's license is necessary, and the caregiver would be expected to use their own car. Preference will be given to those candidates who have previous experience working with seniors suffering from Parkinson's and live in the area. The caregiver can choose to live-out as the job requirement doesn't require a live-in arrangement. The preferred start date is 01.12.2024.
