I have many years of childcare experience.
As an older sister, my journey started with babysitting and from there it has grown to coaching, teaching and camp counselling.
I am a student at the University Of Manitoba as. I manage one of UMEarths main projects, āproject VEGā (visionary educational Gardens) I founded this program in my junior year of high school and since then have run it as a non-profit organization. VEG is focused on sustainable ways for youth to make a difference. In the past years, Iāve worked with over 1000 kindergarten to grade 4 students, teaching lessons, talking to student groups and donating garden boxes to schools in need across Winnipeg. As an Author of āThe Circle of Climate Changeā ā a book that empowers a younger generation, Iāve also had the opportunity to work with hundreds of young minds. With these continuing experiences, Iāve developed many skills to bring a positive and caring outlook to any situation.
I have also worked in a daycare setting where I had the opportunity to create connections with lots of preschool age kids.this experience really taught me how to care for young kids and attend to their needs while still giving them freedom to explore.
I have many loves and interests that include cooking, baking, art, writing, spending time with family and swimming. I have been a high-performance Artistic swimmer for 10+ years and have travelled across Canada as a national soloist. Being an athlete in any sport has so many amazing benefits. Many years of sport has taught me so much about myself and my strength. Iāve had the opportunity to mentor many young athletes, this has given me much insight into the importance of working together and problemsolving. Being in this has also led me to become coach and camp counsellor as an Artistic swimming coach Iāve worked with many different age groups and levels. My goal is to create an environment where every child feels safe to learn, grow and have funā while working with my younger athletes I often lead by example and have lots of different activities planned to focus on problem-solving and motor skills. While my older age group have more of a focus on learning skills, teamwork and physical literacy. Along with coaching, Iāve spent my summer working as a Recreational assistant. This job had me working with kids as young as six months. I panned and facilitated childrenās events, ran childcare dropin games for all ages and worked in the community club, cleaning and providing child recreation services.
I am here to support you and your family, I always bring a positive and outgoing personality. I will provide a welcoming and happy environment, Iām a great cook, meal planner, and always have a new game or book to share. When caring for children I love to plan a variety of activities from exploring the outdoors, reading, playing games or even learning a new skill. My experience ranges from infants to school ages children. I have experience cleaning and housekeeping. I am always ready to learn your house rules and be a positive role model in any childās life. Whether your child needs help with school work, a bedtime story, someone to play with or just a hug, Iāll be there ready to help with anything.

I am currently working towards a career as a nurse. I have worked in many different environments including, an infant care facility as an EEC and an educational coordinator, as a competitive coach and in customer service and food service spaces. All these jobs are in very social environments which has given me lots of experience organizing, caring for and interacting with different members of the community.
Outside of university, I swim nationally, and I competed at a Provincial and National Level with the Winnipeg Artistic Swim Club as a Senior Soloist. I have been swimming competitively for eleven years. I am an AquaGo certified artistic swimming coach. I am NCCP qualified. I am a recreational coach for the Winnipeg Artistic Swimming Club as well as a camp coach in the summer of 2021 and 2022. I have also participated in cross and gymnastics. As an avid athlete, I have great physical conditioning and endurance.
Iāve worked for three years as a summer camp counsellor, and I have worked with over 300 students to illustrate and publish a childrenās book. (that I will look forward to sharing with your kids!!) I am well equipped to help your child with fine motor skills or any schoolwork, I have lots of fun outdoor activity ideas and Iād be happy to help with house chores, cooking and driving kids to and from activities.
