Hobbies: I like activities like board games ( chess is my favourite), sports ( soccer and tennis are my favourites), card games ( Go Fish, Poker, Uno are some of my favourites ), art ( drawing flowers is my favourite ), puzzles ( word, picture, 3D are my favourites ), growing plants. I have a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education in 1998 from the Philippines and as a licensed school teacher, I worked in both secondary and elementary schools for a total of 15 years. Following the footsteps of my mom who worked as an elementary school teacher for nearly 30 years, I had a very clear understanding of my purpose as a teacher in the countless lives of my students. Teaching different skill sets and imparting knowledge to the students was not just a job, but a passion for me. I will be very glad to provide a tutoring service to families who are in need of a warm, friendly, understanding, patient and knowledgeable person for their kids. Currently, I am working as an Education Assistant in Surrey District for nealy a year now. I have finished my degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education in the Philippines and have become a classroom teacher to both high school and elementary students for 15 years. My study encompasses different fields such as literature, grammar, among others. For me, teaching is the most fulfilling career there is because I get to be part of student's education journey. In my many years of teaching experience, I have witnessed thousands of students struggle in school, and by giving them support and encouragement, they eventually find the true meaning and value of all their school hard work and sacrifices. With my teaching experience, I am confident that I am capable of teaching or tutoring elementary students in all subject areas, as well as high school students in specific courses.
