With diverse experience in several fields, I'm currently seeking employment as a Personal, Family, or School Transportation Driver, Driving Nanny, or Driver for Seniors. Based in the lovely town of Langley, I'm ready to make your travels easy, comfortable and perfectly scheduled. I've held a flawless driver's license for 32 years. However, please note that I can only operate a vehicle provided by my employer.
In my previous roles, I've juggled a multitude of responsibilities, delivering top-notch service in every aspect. After graduating at the top of my class from Thompson Rivers University, I began a career as a Medical Laboratory Assistant and Cardio Technician. I then transitioned into the hospitality sector- involving hiring, training and inventory management- and co-owned an incredibly successful pub. Thereafter, I devoted time to raising my three wonderful children, afterwards rejoining the workforce as a Registered Counselling Therapist and a Reiki Practitioner.
Additionally, I have experience working as a Professional Doula, caring for high-profile clients and their newborns- a testament to my empathetic nature and ability to offer comfort and care to all. I have excellent housecleaning skills, although I don’t offer laundry services. I take immense pride in my work and strive to perfect even the smallest details.
I am available throughout the week, from Monday to Friday, and occasionally on weekends. However, I enjoy a balance between my work and family life. My education, combined with my experience and skills, is top-notch. I began my education in 1999, two years after getting married and having a little girl. I attended Thompson River University and graduated with honors as a medical laboratory assistant, obtaining the title of phlebotomist. Subsequently, I was hired immediately by MDS Metro Laboratories, now called LifeLabs, where I underwent in-house training to become proficient as a cardiovascular technician and medical technologist. I left this job when my husband and I decided to purchase and operate a pub in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, which proved to be very successful due to our high standards in food, cleanliness, staffing, and overall management.
After my separation, I decided to focus on raising my children, who have grown up to be successful and well-adjusted adults. At the age of 42, after my children were grown, I returned to school to become a Registered Counselling Therapist, completing my diploma at Stenberg College in Surrey, British Columbia, where I graduated at the top of my class. I then worked with Moving Forward Family Services in Surrey, providing counseling to families, individuals, and children.
In addition to my counseling work, I trained as a Certified Reiki Practitioner under Master Margaret and Stephanie at Infinite Serenity School in Langley, British Columbia. I also have a Class 5 driver's license with an excellent driving record, no criminal record, and am bondable. I hold advanced first aid certification, including emergency first response, which was updated last March. I am also certified in FoodSafe and Serving It Right.
Throughout my life, I have provided compassionate care to family members, including my twin brothers, ex-husband, grandmother, and uncle. As a caregiver, I have experience administering medical care, providing emotional support, and organizing events such as funerals.
I am proud of my accomplishments and the diverse skill set I possess. While I have a strong background in counseling and caregiving, I am seeking new opportunities to expand my horizons and continue learning and growing professionally.
