I'm from a big family of 6 kids. And there is 5 years between me and the next sibling. So I was like a little parent to my siblings. Me and my older sister did lots for our family. Including cooking, baking and looking after the younger children. I love to cook and I have cleaned off and on throughout the years. I also enjoy working with seniors. I love being outside and am a artist. My little pomeranian is the love of my life. I also love my family. My children are the loves of my life. I have worked one day a week looking after a senior, while her daughter went to work. I made her lunch. And spent time with her. When I came in the morning I helped get her breakfast, tea and sat with her. I helped her get to the bathroom as she was unsteady on her feet. And I was basically a companion for a few hours. I also have been driving a senior around as she lost her license. I'm doing this once a week. I was driving her to see her husband in a care home.

Hello, I enjoy providing respite care to seniors and people with mobility issues, doing homemaking and companionship, helping them to maintain independence within their homes. I am an early riser. I enjoy cooking, baking, reading, singing, swimming, walking enjoying nature. I have an eight year old that I love to spend time with, including some volunteering at his school. I am an excellent driver and would be happy to provide an abstract. I have had a criminal record check done. Right after high school I began part time work providing respite care, companionship and general housekeeping for seniors, people with mobility issues also childcare for people on social assistance. I have worked full time at several other types of employment over the years. For six years I was part of a team doing 24 hour shifts with a brain injury client providing round the clock support with personal care - bathing, grooming, hygiene. We made sure he always looked impeccable and it was a source of pride the amount of faith and trust he showed us. We cooked all his meals, kept his home clean, drove him to all appointments and took him on daily excursions to visit his favourite people and places. I spent a year and a half working for a very dynamic young woman living with ALS, a position I begrudgingly left to have Sundays at home with my stepson. I am now coming up on two years working for an elderly gentleman living with Dementia as well as some mobility issues. I have always found it very emotionally and mentally rewarding to work for someone helping them to enjoy as much quality of life as possible. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: Thanks to my client with ALS, I now have some experience with a lift and several chairs.

I am capable of doing cooking, house chores, administer medication, tube feed, bed bath, personal hygiene care, blood sugar test, suction, companion to doctor, grocery. walk. and physio exercise. Lyn Resume: Name : Lyn Address: coquitlam CPR expire 2018 First Aid expire 2018 Food Safe Level 1 Driver Licence expire 2019 Passport : Expires 2018 Criminal record checked on July 2015 Work Experience : Care giver for 5years Hi Manager, My name is Elaine, I am a passionate asian, neat, clean n organised woman. I came to Canada 19 years ago, life was hard raising my 2 boys and running a laudromat for many years. My adults boys are graduated and now have wings of their own. I have worked with a dimentia for 5 years, living in her house for 8 months before she end up in a senior home. While she was in senior home, I continue to assist her full time for the next 3. 5 years. She recently passed away in Jan 2010. My job was to assist her in all areas as well as taking her out shopping, to park for a stroll, visiting friends, having meal and music exercise with her. I am not a certified health care worker but in 2012, I nurse my dad, he was down with several strokes. First it hit him paralysing one side of his body and when he was hit with 2nd and 3rd stroke within a period of 3 weeks, Oh my god, life had changed for the entire family. Couldnt bear to send him to a nursing home, I nurse him with the help of my siblings, we took turns to look after him. Being the eldest in the family and also semi retired, I took over the chores most of the time compared to my younger siblings whose holding a professional career. We were all trained by the hospital before dad was able to be discharged. That involved all his daily needs, transferring fr bed to wheelchair, showering, medications, drainning urine bag, insulin shots, ferrying him to hospital visits n many more. Learning to look after a stroke patient is challenging, we faced several teething problems but time will take its cause. I have learnt alot from the past 3 years. Unfortunately dad passed away couple months ago. I am very sure I can do well in a caring for the sick and elderly after what I have been through compared to someone whose certified. It all goes with hands on and experience in life. What senior needed most at this stage of time is love, patience and tender care. I can speak english, mandarin, cantonese, hokkien and teochew. I had my CPR, FIRST Aid, FOOD SAFE and Driver Licence taken in Canada. I am capable of doing tube feed, bladder/bowel care/ injection, suction, physio exercise, oxygen, company to appt and household chores. If you think I am suitable to fit into your needs, drop me an email or I can be contacted by phone. I am available anytime for several shift and are willing and keen to serve the seniors. Thank you and I look forward hearing from you. regards elaine Additional Experiences/Qualifications: I have worked in a Dispensary for many years hence a little knowledge with oral medicine. I am PA literate, had a Public Relation Receptionist trained certificate. I am able to cook well coz I enjoy cooking healthy meals for my family.

I had been working in the Accounting Departments within the Oil and Gas industry for the last 30 years and was most recently working at a retirement/assisted living residence on a part time basis and had been with them for 4 years. Since October 2017 I had been taking care of a senior couple in their home. They have since moved into residential care and am still looking after Miss Joyce. I absolutely love working with seniors. I take great care to make sure I provide a safe, secure environment while maintaining a warm, friendly and positive attitude. I am reliable, responsible, patient, and kind with a keen eye to recognise even minor changes in their health and behaviour. I provide positive mental/physical and nutritional health to my clients. Most of the residents I have worked with are leaving their own homes which can be a very difficult and emotional time. I do my utmost to make that transition as easy and enjoyable as possible. It is important for the families to know their loved ones are happy, safe, content and enjoying their twilight years. Many seniors would like to stay in their own home for as long as possible. However, this can be lonely if they do not have or are unable to maintain friendships outside of their home. Companionship combined with cooking, ( I love to cook ) tidying, help with medication and whatever else may be required can be a wonderful solution. I am also available for travel. I have my CPR, First Aid, TB Test and my Criminal record check. References available upon request. I have been working with seniors for the last 6 years. Additional Experiences/Qualifications:
