My name is Lesley. I am a 52 year old mother of two sons who have become the young men we need in the world today and I am very proud. They are now in post secondary school and I am available to use my unique skills with another family. I am an Emily Carr Graduate and a professional Fine Artist. I love working with children with my creative abilities and often can cross over into the world of Science with effortless flow. And the imagination here creates unique & fun learning and childcare. I love outdoor activities and hiking to help with all parts of life. I am wilderness & street smart. I grew up on the Lakes of the Okanagan and on the Mountains of the Sea to Sky Corridor as the oldest child of six siblings. I am very creative, loyal, intelligent & sensitive person. I am well educated and have a keen sense of health, nutrition & wellness. I have creative problem solving skills and known to be great under pressure. I am an excellent driver with safe driving record over 30 years with Class 4, 5 & 6. I have excellent references. I am a mother of two amazing young men Gus & Max - who are 21 and 19 years old doing post secondary education. Gus was a valedictorian and Max won the Diversity award at his graduation. I am a very proud mother who has some extra time on her hands now that they are both entering adulthood. I am the oldest of six children and we grew up in the okanagan on the lake & forest and then moved to Sea to Sky corridor in 1987. At the age of 12 years old, I was babysitting neighbourhood children and tutoring in high school Fine Art, English & Algebra. I have wilderness wisdom and city smarts. And I love being outside in nature as part of a balanced lifestyle. Plus, I am knowledgeable in nutrition & wellness. I am professional artist and I am an award winning Emily Carr Alumni Graduate. I love working with children. I was a live in nanny in 1989 - 1991 to a prominent Family in British Properties and when the father died of cancer at age of 41 (1991) - he asked me to stay in the young girls life - they were 2 and 4 years old and I did continue to help them right up through university and now 34 years later they are my son's Godmothers and have their own daughters - 3 weeks and 1 years old. I helped the girls with every aspect of their lives and now they have their Masters and PHD. I cooked, I traveled, I mentored, I drove to lessons & school, I tutored them in all subjects but especially Fine Art & Science as I attended Emily Carr University of Art and Design from 1991 to 1995 and then 5th Year University at UBC to 1997. I am honored to have stayed with this particular family for 34 years off and on again. At this point, I am considered part of the family. The loyalty, trust and integrity required to integrate with such an amazing family and to run a household in the British Properties, Whistler & wherever they needed me was a true honor. Plus, to help with all aspects of traveling, tutoring & recreational activities was fulfilling and kept my mind & body activated. Recently, I have been supplementing my income with babysitting jobs for a family I have known for 17 years and their 7 year old son Lincoln while the parents have date night out. This is a good one for me. It is flexible. Over the last 30 years, I have often run fine art programs and helped in art therapy for street youth and for after school programs elementary & high school students through: Boys and Girls Club, Vancouver School Board, Front Line Work, Safe Houses for Women & Children, Art Therapy as an artist, Outreach & YWCA programs. This work has always been very fulfilling but my real specialty is one on one work. Graduated Honors in Science & Fine Art 1989 Howe Sound Secondary Emily Carr University of Art & Design - Bachelor of Fine Art (1991 - 95) University of British Columbia - 5th Year 1996 1996 - 1998 Academy of Canadian Film & Television (Director's Apprenticeship) BCIT - 2006 First Year Glazing Glass & Metal (Fine Art Studies continues)

My name is Noelle and I'm based in beautiful Vancouver. I have spent over two decades working closely with children. I can happily work with kids of all ages, including newborns and children over 10 years of age. In fact, I can confidently manage a household of four or more children. Being a nanny is more than a job to me; it's a passion. I can take care of cooking, light housekeeping, preparing meals for children, doing laundry for both children and family, bathing and dressing children as well as adhering to special dietary rules for kids. I can also provide pet care if required, and I'm happy to supervise other household staff or perform full house cleaning tasks. I'm proud to have completed First Aid and CPR training, and I have my high school diploma. A special aspect of my profile is my willingness and ability to work with children with disabilities. I understand that every child is unique and needs a personal level of care and attention. My preferred arrangement is Live-Out, and I am open to Full-Time or Part-Time roles. I am readily available to work, even on very short notice. I can fit into your schedule as I'm open to working mornings, mid-day, evenings, and nights, from Monday to Friday. With over 20 years of experience as an educator and child/youth programmer with a focus on arts-based learning and activities, I create a safe, engaging environment that empowers children of all ages to be the very best versions of themselves. For me, the opportunity to shape an environment where a child can learn, grow, gain and express a sense of self, and connect to each other and their surroundings, is a gift! Currently, I reside in East Vancouver with my rescue chihuahua. I work part-time in education (contract work) and part-time as a personal stylist and brand developer. With the flexibility of setting my own hours, I have a lot of extra time in-between projects. I am seeking consistent part-time work as a Nanny because I adore working with kids of all ages. I have a passion for music (I have a piano in my home), fashion, art, and outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, running, nature walks, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, racket sports, and volleyball. I regularly practice yoga and pilates to stay grounded. In addition, I have experience with meal preparation, ranging from gourmet to dietary restricted meals such as raw, vegan, and keto diets. Equipped with a degree in film studies/creative writing and an arts/education background, I infuse creativity into everything I do, whether it be storytelling or tutoring. However, I am also organized, efficient, patient, and reliable. I am the fun aunt for all of my friends kids and it has been such a joy to be a part of their lives as they grow. As a part time educator and former childhood programmer, I bring a diverse approach to child care. I have experience working with neurodivergent children/teens/adults and an art & fashion background which will stimulate your children creatively. Dear Family.I was born in the 1970’s, in a small BC town…that alone should give you a little insight of my upbringing. My dad and grandfather owned a small business where my sister and I workedafter school and weekends. At his office, I learned lifelong lessons about caring for thecommunity, work ethics, and teamwork. I lived in Trail for a few years after high school; next moved to Victoria to work, and then to attend University where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Following University I backpacked for several months, which ignited my love of travel and exploring. At this time I was given my first opportunity to Nanny; a family friend offered me a position helping her sister’s family in San Francisco. Why not!! The family had a 2-year-old, and the mom gave birth to their son the day after Iarrived. I stayed in the Bay Area over 2 years and from that experience I continued to travel as a nanny in Switzerland and Japan; each for a year. From there I moved to LA to work with a family for 6 years. Full time for 4 years, and then part time for 2; working with other families to fill my time. At the end of my time in Los Angeles I was in my late 30s and wanted to fulfill a dream to train as a teacher to continue educating children globally. I chose Montessori and trained for an intense 12 months in Vancouver. I went to Bangkok and Hong Kong. I taught for 4 years. After the 4 years I wanted to return to Canada to be closer to my family, and to go back to the one-to-one connection as a nanny that I missed as a busy teacher with 25-30children and all the administration work at school. After volunteering in Ghana for 7 weeks at an orphanage (an experience I carry with me every day; feeling so much gratitude to be born and raised in a 1st world country). I returned to Vancouver to nanny in 2016 and have worked since-both families for 4+ years and the jobs ended because the children were at school full time. I enjoy my work and feel my skills are always improving as my experience and time with families expands.Thank you for taking the time to read my life summary, the short and sweet version. I welcome you to reach out for more information and happy to answer any question you may have in regard to our compatibility. Sincerely, Vanessa Hong Kong Montessori teaching, Bangkok Montessori teaching. Nanny for 7 yrs in LA Nanny in Vancouver, Switzerland, Japan, San Francisco.

Hi! I’m Charlie! I’m originally from New Zealand but have been living in Canada for over 5 years now. Prior to that I also spent some time living in Portland, Or, where I loved the music scene and visiting the Oregon coast. I grew up surrounded by the sea and love all things ocean. I like to go out paddling around Vancouver and looking for interesting finds on the shore line. Whenever I get the chance to be in waves I’m there! I love seeing the joy lakes and beaches bring to children. I have a bachelor of fine arts and love being crafty. In a past life I did photography and portrait sketches but more recently I’ve been crocheting animals, wood burning, and creating digital art. I am willing to try any craft a child’s heart desires! Much of my art is inspired by nature so getting outside a lot is important to me. I enjoy wandering Pacific Spirit Park, looking at mushrooms, ferns, and logs or bird spotting. I have 2 small dogs who love the outdoors too! The bush is a great place for learning and exploring for kids and dogs alike! I teach drums, bass, and guitar at girls rock camp and would like to get back to playing more for myself soon. Watching christen light up when they master something new is the best! I love finding out what children’s passions are and experiencing them along side them. My goal is always to help raise creative, curious, confident children. I have worked with children in many capacities over the last 20 years. Most recently I have been working as a tour nanny and facilitating the Girls Rock Camp Vancouver after school program. Previously I worked with the same family for 5 years. There I worked closely with the family, school and other professionals to provide support to a child with autism. Over the years he went from needed 1:1 support to independently going to high school, which was amazing to see! Before moving to Vancouver I nannied for a couple of family’s in Portland, OR and worked at the North East community centers drop in childcare. In New Zealand I worked in a wide range of schools and early childhood education centers. I worked in a nursery with 0-2 year olds with a RIE philosophy, a transition to school programs for 4-5 year olds, and a range of preschools with 2-5 year olds. I also taught as a substitute teacher for grades 1st-9th. All of my work has included providing a safe and stimulating environment where children are free to explore their identities and interests, while learning and extending skills. I believe every child deserves an environment where it it safe to fail, test boundaries, and stay inquisitive. Bachelor of fine arts Diploma of teaching (Elementary) Diploma of guidance studies (counseling, learning disabilities, psychology, career counseling, etc)

With a strong background in the spa industry as a massage therapist, I bring a nurturing and caring nature to my interest in pursuing a nanny position. As a mother of two sons, I understand the importance of providing a safe and loving environment for children to thrive. In addition to my experience, I have a passion for travel, which has broadened my perspective and enriched my ability to adapt to new environments. Cooking is not only a hobby of mine, but also a skill that allows me to create delicious and healthy meals for the little ones. Lastly, my love for animals, specifically my dogs, showcases my ability to care for and nurture living beings. Overall, my diverse background, combined with my nurturing nature, make me an ideal candidate for a nanny position.
