This is a full-time position that requires commitment to provide much-needed assistance and companionship. This gentleman requires support with various daily functions, making this role crucial in ensuring his welfare, comfort and preserving his dignity. Key responsibilities of this vital role will include personal care tasks such as toileting assistance, dressing, bathing, escorting him to appointments, assisting with walking, and grooming assistance. Despite maintaining a degree of independence, he requires practical supervision to carry out these activities safely. Experience with or a willingness to work with those struggling with arthritis would be an asset. The role offers more than just a satisfying work schedule with built-in flexibility from early morning to evening shifts spread across the entire week. In recognition of your commitment and efforts, apart from the room and board, you will be provided with a private bedroom and bathroom with a dedicated family room for relaxation. To make you feel comfortable and at home, a fridge and microwave alongside full access to the communal kitchen and laundry facilities will be provided. Although a driving license is not mandatory, accompanying him to his appointments will be part of your responsibilities. My Mother requires assistance for all day-to-day activities as she has very limited mobility and utilizes a wheelchair.
