Hello! I'm seeking a caring, reliable, and responsible part-time nanny for my two young children, aged 1-2 years and 3-5 years, in Almonte, Ontario. This role would suit someone who genuinely enjoys working with children, possesses excellent communication skills, and is adept at creating a safe, positive environment for them. Your responsibilities would primarily include general supervision and engaging the children in age-appropriate activities. You'd be expected to prepare light meals or snacks for the kids, whilst maintaining a safe and tidy play environment. Light housekeeping duties related to childcare would also be part of your role such as keeping the kitchen clean and tidy. The work schedule would be less than 20 hours per week, ideally on Tuesdays and Thursdays, covering mornings, afternoons, and evenings. The start date for this position would be immediately. Being a driver is a plus as there's a possibility that a family car can be provided for use whilst on the job. While this is a live-out role, we are offering competitive pay of up to $25 per hour. Negotiable based on experience. To qualify for this role, you need to have previous experience working with children in a formal or informal setting. You should be warm, patient, and dependable and possess the ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment. CPR/First Aid certification would be considered an asset and references will be needed upon request. I require care from Monday through Friday, primarily during the mornings and mid-days, averaging between 20 to 30 hours a week. The prospective role would require a blend of full-time and part-time commitment, depending on the weekly arrangements. It's a live-out position, hence, accommodation is not included. A key aspect to consider is the requirement of a driver’s license, due to the responsibilities involved, such as safely transporting the children when needed. In addition, light housekeeping duties are also part of the role. This could involve keeping the kitchen tidy and preparing the kids' meals. An important note is that the use of your own car will also be necessary for this position, so please ensure you have access to a reliable vehicle. We are a family in need of an individual who can provide part-time childcare for our little one. We both are parents working from home and while we absolutely love having our child around in our space, we require someone who can engage the child with a variety of activities within the house and our yard. The individual we are looking for must be creative and capable of working mornings from Monday to Friday, approximately from 8AM - 12PM. Our youngest baby, Griffin, will be turning 1 in August, at which time I will hopefully be returning to work. We have been unable to find a daycare provider, so we are hoping to find someone who could care for him in our home. I am a contract worker and I am working under the assumption that I will get the same contract I had before he was born, which would put our needs at Monday through Wednesday from 6:30AM until roughly 4PM. We do have two other school-age children, who would be home in the mornings and need breakfast, but their grandmother would come to take them to school and pick them up in the afternoon so they need minimal care. During the day our only expectations are for Griffin to be cared for and played with, possibly some occasional food prep to help us out for supper (ie chopping veggies) but no family meal cooking, laundry, or significant cleaning. We have a cat currently, and may get a dog sometime in the next year as well (no dog walking will be expected). We are an outdoor family and hope to have someone who will also maximize outdoor time for Griffin - we believe there is no bad weather, just inappropriate gear! We also live just a few blocks from a playground and walking trails to make getting out easy. We also have a pool for swimming in good weather, but we are adamant about pool safety. No driving will be expected, but we hope to have someone with a drivers' licence just for safety's sake.
