Hello! My name is Ryleigh, a 19-year old woman from the small town of Salmo, BC, who now resides in Vancouver. Throughout my life, I have been surrounded by a diverse array of animals, thanks to a childhood spent on a 22-acre hobby farm. The rich, rural ambiance of my early years has furnished me with 19 years of experience in animal care, including larger animals such as cows, as well as beloved pets like dogs and cats.
From daily activities to emergency situations, I am adept in a wide range of pet care duties. I'm comfortable in administering both oral and injected medication for dogs, providing daily exercise for high-energy dogs, taking care of senior or special needs dogs, and more basic tasks like teeth and fur brushing. Animal First Aid/CPR is also within my skill set.
In my work, I prioritize making all animals, whether they are cats, dogs, fish, reptiles, or rodents, feel loved, cared for, and safe. I'm looking for roles that involve drop-in visits, dog walking, and house sitting. I'm excited to offer tasks that nourish and enrich the lives of your pets!
Unfortunately, I won't be able to bring your pet to my home, but I am willing to travel for work. I am available throughout the week, including mornings, mid-days, evenings and nights. I'm a non-smoker and I am more than comfortable in conducting a police check if required. Though I can't relocate, I do have a driver's license, a vehicle I can use for the job, and a solid ability to swim for those pets who love a dip in the water!
I am fluent in English and hold Canadian citizenship. I look forward to the possibility of taking care of your unique and treasured pets.
I have lived on a farm my entire life and have taken care of many different types of animals at all ages. I have most experience with dogs (large and small breeds), cats (including speciality breeds such as maine coons and sphinx), Snakes, Small rodents, Chickens, Ducks, and Cows.
