I am looking for looking for a caring family manager/nanny to start August 2025 or September. The right individual is someone who is looking for a long term commitment. I have two sons ages 9 and 11. We live very close to the border of Vancouver and Burnaby at Boundary and East Hastings. Hours: 2pm-6pm (4 hours a day) Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday After nearly two years with our current family manager/nanny she is moving on to pursue her best retirement life. We are so sad to see her leave, but so happy she is following her dreams! We are now looking to find another trusted person to help with our family life. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys being in a parental role when we are not around. You are able to be firm when necessary and keep the kids on track with their homework. But at the same time are warm and friendly and look forward to talking with the kids about their daily life. We are looking for someone to anticipate our family needs. Of course this comes with open communication between us and as we find a rhythm together this becomes easier with communication and assistance. Our two boys are currently in Grade 3 and Grade 5. They are fun, kind and welcoming. We truly value those who work with our family and we feel strongly that whoever works for us feels valued and enjoys working with our family. Weekly tasks include: all the kids laundry, including bed linens household towels keeping the house tidy keeping the kids on track with homework - reading 30 min a day after school and any other homework that happens getting kids to soccer practice 2 x a week (this usually takes place in the neighbourhood) supervise and help organise play dates with neighbourhood kids cook dinner/meal prep grocery shop Hours: Monday to Friday, 2pm - 6pm (20 hours a week). We are a welcoming family and are generous with time off and flexibility when we require it. In return we are looking for a reliable and stable presence for our children and our house. Notes: We will reimburse you for gas. Starting wage $25 We are open to discussing wages and expectations. We are really looking for the right fit. This part-time role calls for a commitment of 15-20 hours per week and is ideally suited for someone who is attending classes or managing other part-time work commitments. Your main responsibilities would involve maintaining cleanliness inside our home, some laundry duties and help with meal preparation. On some mornings we will need help bringing our two children to school. With a driving license being a requirement for this job, we'll provide a car for you to use on the job. Presently, I am the proud parent of an adorable 6-month-old baby. Despite the joy that comes with parenthood, one of the challenging aspects I have encountered is maintaining a clean and orderly home. Given the demands of caring for my baby, it becomes quite challenging to find the time to clean and tidy up as he continually keeps me occupied throughout the day. As such, my house has grown a little messy but nothing too overwhelming. It's not an extreme situation where you would walk in and be greeted with chaos or disorder at every corner. Rather, it stays in a moderate state of clutter, mainly due to the limited time I can spare for housekeeping. You can easily notice that the room and lounge requires some tidying up, but certainly it does not require a deep, extensive cleaning.
