1) I have worked in the fast-food industry for approximately 6 years now. My places of work include Tim Horton's, Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters, and Cinnaholic. All three jobs required me to sweep, mop, clean tables, dispose of garbage and recycling, clean washrooms, and wash dishes both by hand and with a commercial dishwasher.
2) I have 5 months of experience working as a private housekeeper/PSW. I also worked at a LTC (147 Elder Street - SageCare) during my PSW student field placement, where I performed duties such as disposing of garbage/recycling and washing dishes by hand, then sanitizing them using a commercial dishwasher. I currently work as a Housekeeper & PSW for a direct funding client. Duties include, as mentioned above, light meal preparation, laundry, and pet care.
3) I worked in a retail setting for my JYC placement at Pet Valu. Here, I did cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, organizing (restocking/refilling), and being a kennel attendant. In my job mentioned above, the pet care includes two cats. In my personal experience (since I was a child), I have grown up taking care of simple plants, a Beta Fish, Budgies, and Guinea Pigs.
