My name is Amanda , but I prefer to be called Mandie. I have more than 30 years of experience in childcare. Although I don't possess all the up-to-date certifications that some people require, I am willing to take as many courses as necessary. I have loved children ever since I was young and have always wanted to babysit. My mother allowed me to take a babysitting course, and from that point forward, I was hooked. Inspired by the Babysitter's Club books I read as a child at age 11, I created my own "babysitter club kit". I filled a box with construction paper, glue, glitter, cotton puffs, and scissors for art projects, and a bag of marbles for playing with the kids. I threw in some surprise bags filled with knick-knacks and a few treats. My passion for caring for children extends to the present day, whether it is babysitting, nanny work, or anything related to kids. I am a big kid at heart and still enjoy visiting the park to play. I was a Sunday School teacher at Central Baptist Church, where I taught kindergarten children. I would prepare my lessons on Saturday afternoons, and on Saturday evenings, I would bake a treat for my class. I love cooking and baking, and have a particular fondness for barbecuing. I have been cooking since I was five and am a very good cook. Additionally, I have worked with children with special needs in elementary school, which I find incredibly rewarding. I am proud that children with special needs tend to quickly warm up to me, as they sense my genuine affection and gentle nature towards them. I enjoy spending time with them immensely.

I've had my babysitters course since I was eleven. Since then u have been a kindergarten Sunday school teacher. I've babysat for anywhere from 8 kids to 1 At a time. I've been a camp counselor at Camp Wohelo in Alberta 7 years I went 2 yrs I was a counselor. I have worked with special needs children of many disabilities. I've been an aftercare child worker from home. I've been a big sister to girls who needed one. As I had one when I was little. I've nannies for children I. Victoria BC where I had resisted for the last 18 yrs. I'm back where I'm from Edmonton Alberta since last May.2023
