I am currently continuing my studies in animal mediation at CEGEP and am seeking a job that allows me to integrate my professional life, my studies, and my personal life. I am fluently bilingual, sensitive, understanding, and empathetic, with work experience in psychosocial intervention, animation, and care. I have well-developed skills in interpersonal communication and organization. I've been self-employed for the last 10 years and it's crucial for me to be efficient, attentive to my clients, and responsive to their needs. I also possess a comprehensive understanding of the needs, limitations, and obstacles that vulnerable clients face.
During my studies, I've gained extensive experience as a home aid for families with children under 12, as a school tutor teaching French and math to struggling students aged between 6-18, and also as a recreational animator for elderly people. I completed a four-month internship in social work at the Gatineau Hospital, where I worked in the physical rehabilitation unit with seniors and also worked as a summer organizer in the same sector. While I have worked with diverse clienteles, I specialize in providing services to seniors, children, and young adults.

J'ai complété un stage en travail social de 4 mois dans l'unité de réadaptation de l'Hôpital de Gatineau (UTRF) avec des personnes âgées. Dans le même milieu et avec la même clientèle, j'ai été engagée comme animatrice étudiante (récréologie) pendant l'été. J'ai fait cet emploi deux étés. J'ai donc travaillé avec des patients qui avait des troubles neurocognitifs, des troubles de l'humeur, etc. Je suis également habituée de travailler avec une clientèle ayant des problèmes physiques et expérimentant un déconditionnement important, ce qui affecte évidemment leur autonomie au quotidien. Je connais donc les limitations importantes que cela peut causer à la personne.
J'ai travaillé étroitement avec la physiothérapeute de l'unité qui exerce ce métier depuis plus de trente ans. Elle m'a montré comment déambuler et effectuer des transferts avec les patients âgés. Bien que je n'ai pas été formé comme préposé, je connais bien les bases et les risques.

I completed a 4-month social work internship in the Gatineau Hospital rehabilitation unit (UTRF) with seniors. In the same environment and with the same clientele, I was hired as a student animator (recreology) during the summer. I did this job for two summers. I worked with patients with neurocognitive disorders, mood disorders and so on. I'm also used to working with a clientele with physical problems and experiencing significant deconditioning, which obviously affects their day-to-day autonomy. I am therefore aware of the significant limitations this can cause the person.
I worked closely with the unit's physiotherapist, who has been in the profession for over thirty years. She showed me how to walk and transfer with elderly patients. Although I haven't been trained as an preposé, I know the basics and the risks.

Je suis présentement aux études en médiation animale à temps partiel (AEC au cégep de La Pocatière - cohorte de Montréal).
