My name is MJ. I am a happy mom who enjoys walks, fitness, and laughs. I am available for housekeeping and/or child care from 12 noon to 4 or 5 pm, with some exceptions, part-time, wednesdays Thursdays some Fridays @$30/hour. I have a sound understanding of childcare for children of all ages. I have worked and volunteered with a multitude of families and schools over the past 30 years, which has afforded me a great deal of experience and skills that I would love to share with your family. My lifelong interest in the fine arts and language allows me to plan activities to enhance your child's social, educational, and emotional well-being. I am also a great cook with a specialty in healthy nutrition that your children won't even know they're eating vegetables. I can provide a clean criminal record and a clean driving abstract as well. If you are interested in getting to know me better, I would love to sit down and discuss my experience and what I can offer you and your family. As a mother, childcare provider, and avid volunteer I have accumulated over 30 years of experience. My background includes knowledge and experience in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children ranging in age from newborn through teen years. At the Lampson School, I excelled in a three-year role providing overarching child care support to parents where I acquired key skills in organizing recreational activities, preparing and serving snacks, cleaning toys, setting up special projects, and facilitating childrens social development. I have also delivered child care support to numerous families over my lifetime in various babysitting and nannying capacities, using my patient and fun-loving nature to earn childrens and parents trust. Additionally, I have a great deal of experience working with children with barriers, most specifically, autism, attention deficit disorder, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. I also have experience caring for multiple children of varying ages and multiple children of the same age (triplets). A few highlights of my experience include: Teaching children about various health and personal habits, including eating, resting, and toilet training. Reading to children and leading them in diverse activities such as arts and crafts, songs, and outdoor play, camping, horseback riding. Excelling at balancing multiple tasks while demonstrating superior organization, leadership, and communication skills. My educational background is in office administration, which has provided me with a wealth of transferrable skills such as time management, multi-tasking, and a keen eye for organization. I have a current Emergency First Aid certification, I am bilingual (French and English), and I have a great deal of knowledge in the field of art, picture framing, painting, photography is a passion I would love to share with your family. I am 19 years old, from Guelph, ON. I moved to Victoria, BC 2 years ago to go to UVIC for Biochemistry. Im extremely passionate about the environment and grew up with nature being a central focus of my childhood. When I was six years old I started playing basketball, and I played for 11 years - growing my love for sports and being active. I love cooking and trying to bake ;). I love arts and crafts, painting, playing the guitar and I recently got obsessed with crocheting. I take pride in being responsible and dependable. I genuinely love creating environments that encourage kids to be curious and grow. I have lots of childcare relevant certificates such as: - Standard First Aid - Emergency First Aid training with CPR-C - National Lifeguarding Pool As well as my Food Handlers and Food Allergen Training. Applicable if your child has any dietary restrictions or allergies, Im happy to plan and prep meals. I was an overnight camp counsellor at YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth. I supervised 8 campers throughout the day and slept in the cabin with them at night. We rotated counselling different age groups from 6-14 and boys/girls/gender inclusive cabins. My main responsibilities were: - supporting their mental and physical health through daily check ins - caring for their safety (first aid /lifeguarding) - executing daily routines (hygiene, daily meds, fresh outfits) I got to organize fun activities tailored to the groups age and interests. Anything from personalized arts and crafts to archery and field games . I also got to teach outdoor skills like kayaking, canoeing, and portaging. My favourite part was watching campers build long lasting friendships. Additionally, In high school I worked as a babysitter for a 11 year old boy. I picked him up and walked him home from school. My job was to help him do his afterschool routine. We would unpack his lunch and have a snack. I would assist him with homework, and then we always played basketball games in the driveway. Sometimes the parents were busy later in the evening so I would make dinner, clean the kitchen, and helped with his bedtime routine (bathing, teeth, read to him etc.). Finally, in high school I was a Volunteer assistant basketball coach for a U11 girls team of 12. I assisted in practice planning and skill development drills, and mentored young female athletes. I got to foster important life skills like communication, teamwork and positivity through the game. Most importantly inspiring girls to take on new challenges and encouraging their passion for sports. Enrolled at UVic for Biochemistry but currently on a semester off.

I am early childhood educator, with my specialization in infants and toddlers. I am particularly passionate about infant care, and supporting new families in their postpartum journey. I'm currently employed full time in a local child care centre, as the supervisor of their infant program. I'm looking for additional work to supplement my time, as well as broaden my experiences in early childhood. I'm particularly interested in returning to previous experiences of working one on one with families and their new babies. I am a fully licensed early childhood educator, with my specialization in infants and toddlers. I am currently employed at a local child care centre as their infant program supervisor, and have been in that position since 2018. Prior to that, I've worked in other licensed child care programs, with children 0-11 years old. I've also worked in private in-home care, providing one-on-one support to infants and postpartum mothers.

Alongside my childcare experience, I’ve always worked as a farmer and love educating kids on harvesting, plants, and natural medicine. I believe it’s such a gift for children to connect with the land and learn where their food and healing herbs come from. I’m Métis/Indigenous and half Colombian, and my roots inspire the way I show up with respect, generosity, and heart. I’m also a Vinyasa Flow Yoga teacher “Quantum Yoga” and also teaching at “Yoga Hub”. I also went to school for holistic nutrition so I naturally bring movement, mindfulness, and healthy living into childcare. Community is very important to me — I volunteer at “Good Food Box” for low-income families and love giving back in ways that support connection and care. Families often describe me as reliable, creative, and compassionate. My background in farming, yoga, nutrition, and music means I bring a playful, well-rounded approach to childcare. Whether we’re exploring outdoors, cooking together, practicing gentle yoga, or making art and music, I love giving kids experiences that help them grow curious, confident, and connected. 🌈 I’m a warm, experienced nanny looking for a part-time or full-time position ASAP. I’m certified in Infant and Child First Aid & CPR and have worked with children ages 12 months to 5 years old. I love supporting little ones through their early developmental milestones with patience, creativity, and lots of heart. 🌈 Over the past few years, I’ve cared for two wonderful 18-month-olds (each for a year) around the Oak Bay area, so I know the neighbourhood and its family spots really well. I’ve also supported many families near Fairfield and Cook Street, building strong bonds and lasting relationships — I still keep in touch with most of the families and kiddos I’ve nannyed! 💕 I’m especially passionate about spending time outdoors — whether it’s nature walks, playground adventures, or garden play. I also love sharing music with the children I care for, from gentle lullabies to fun sing-alongs (I play guitar too!). 🎸 While I don’t drive, I’m hoping to find a role within Victoria or nearby areas that are accessible by transit. 🚴‍♀️ Families who’ve hired me describe me as caring, reliable, and communicative. I believe in providing consistent routines, gentle guidance, and lots of creativity. My goal is always to create a safe, joyful, and nurturing space where children can explore, grow, and feel loved. References from past families are available upon request. ✨ Looking forward to connecting with the right family! 💫

My name is Mya and I'm from New Brunswick, but studying at the University of Victoria. I come from a small household but a huge family with lots of kids running around. When I was very little, my younger sister was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, which quickly opened my eyes to the differences between most children and children with special needs. Seeing the way my sister and I experienced school so differently absolutely influenced me to want to work with kids. I also, like I said, grew up with lot of little cousins around so I LOVED being surrounded by little rascals and I felt like I could always connect to them more than others. In high school, I was highly involved in student council and made an effort to make more events where the high school students could interact with and inspire the younger generation of our town. For the greater portion of my life, I've also been a dancer. So in high school, when the opportunity arose to start teaching classes at my dance studio, I jumped! Now, I've been teaching at that dance studio for 4 years and I've loved every second of it. Combining my passion for dance and music with being around kids was extremely exciting and I've loved all of the experience I gained through that. I worked as a dance teacher to young children for several years in my hometown. This required teaching a group of 10-30 kids each week with only one or two additional adults. I also have experience babysitting my younger cousins and my parent's friends kids. Last summer, I worked full-time at a summer camp, taking care of kids every day for 8 hours, and I totally loved it! I am currently a chemistry student at the University of Victoria. In high school, I was Student Council president with near perfect grades. I have been enrolled and completed babysitter's training, which included basic first aid and lots of education on newborn and toddler care.
