My name is Jen, and I have recently returned to Victoria, BC, after my vacation in my home country, the Philippines. I’m excited to connect with families like yours as I look for a full-time/part-time home child care opportunity. I hold a valid Home Child Care Provider work permit that allows me to live and work legally in Canada, and I am planning to stay long-term to continue building meaningful connections through caregiving. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Financial Management. While my early career was rooted in various accounting roles in the Philippines, my passion for caring for others led me to complete a six-month Caregiving Training Program five years ago, which focused on both childcare and elderly care. To further enrich my child caregiving skills, I am currently enrolled in a free online course through Alison titled "Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Development." This course is helping me better understand the emotional, cognitive, and physical needs of young children. Additionally, I have recently completed Standard First Aid and BLS – CPR/AED training through the Philippine Red Cross, ensuring that your little ones will be in safe and capable hands under my care. I bring with me not only qualifications but also a genuine love for working with children. I aim to provide a nurturing and secure environment that supports your child’s growth, development, and happiness. I’m a warm, attentive, and dependable nanny with 8 months of hands-on experience caring for children aged 1 to 4 in Victoria, BC. I’m passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where young children can learn, play, and grow. I'm confident in managing daily routines including feeding, diaper changes, nap schedules, and planning age-appropriate activities that support early development.

I am a British nanny and babysitter who moved to the island in 2023 with my husband and three children, aged 15, 11 and 5. I have been working in childcare since 2013 and started my own business, Jane's Sitting Service in 2015 and again in 2023 when we emigrated to the island. I have lots of experience with children of all ages, including working with many neurodivergent families, from autism and adhd to global development delay and sensory processing disorder. My own children are also neurodivergent, so the experience continues within my home too. As a caregiver, I absolutely love what I do... the best thing about working with children is that every day is different and you get to see the world through their eyes, which is pretty unique, sometimes a little crazy but always lots of fun. As a nanny, I am very outgoing, have lots of energy and I love to be out and about exploring. I am kind, caring, trustworthy and patient. I try to adjust to each families individual needs and understand that all children are unique and as a care giver, you need to be adaptable. I also focus on providing a safe and nurturing environment with my business moto of 'play, learn and grow together'. As a mum of three, I understand how busy and overwhelming life can feel, juggling childcare, a job, a house and everything else that goes with the day to day tasks of being a parent, and I would love to be that extra pair of hands to support that routine and make some of those day to tasks more manageable. If your family is in need of a nanny, babysitter or mothers help, and you feel i may be a good fit for you, please do reach out or add yourself to my page and we can chat further. I have availability Monday to Friday and try to be as flexible as possible, with my ideal hours being 9-2 (although i am happy to offer longer hours if I am able to collect my daughter from school and bring her to work with me, but I appreciate this isn't for everyone). I am looking for a minimum of 10 hours per week, but have availability for up to 25+ hours as a nanny/nanny share role or mothers help. I am also ideally looking for work in the Langford, Colwood, Royal bay area but have my own vehicle so am happy to commute for the right family. I am first aid and CPR trained (renewal 31st March 2027) and am willing to get a criminal record check should this be required. I have a level 3 qualification from the the uk in working with children and young people, which is similar to an ECE here and past experience of working in a daycare setting, before starting my own business. I also volunteer as a soccer coach at Gorge, working with the under 6s and can provide lots of references. Worked as a nanny and babysitter for the last 10 plus years

I am a Marine Biology major at the University of Victoria, I have a lot of experience working with children! With children, I encourage them to look and enjoy the tiny wonders of the world. As the world is so busy, it even affects children to not have the time to wonder and admire the little things in life. I like to take the time with them to explore the outdoors. I love to cook and have been vegan for 10 years now. In my past jobs my vegan cooking has been oh so enjoyed even though none of the families were vegans themselves, but did enjoy eating more plant-based meals. I have worked with a Family of 3 children. 8 months old, 6 years old, 10 years old. I spent 2 years as a full-time, live-out nanny. Prepared lunches for the two older kids. Once they were in school I would have one on one time with the youngest. We would play, go on walks, go to sing-a-longs at the library, then I would make lunch and meal prep some dinner for the family. Once I put him down for nap I would do house chores and then his nap time was up and I would pick the children up from school and give them a snack and start them on their chores/homework. Eventually they started after-school programs so I would organize their swim bags/ect. and get them to their classes after school. I later was a live-in nanny for a 4-year-old. I would take her to and from school in my own vehicle and prepare after school lunch for her. Her parents would often go on trips, so I would have her with me for a week or weekend. If her parents were working from home I would take her on adventures to allow her to use her mind and energy in a productive way. Every other weekend and for some trips I would care for a 13 year old with Cerebral palsy. Sometimes I would care for her 3 other siblings (2, 4, 11) when needed. We would go to play parks, go on walks, go to the mall, go swimming and during trips to Tofino we had many fun days on the beach. I would bathe her, feed her, change diapers, play and do some occasional laundry. My most recent Nanny job was with a family with 2 children, 5 -7. I would walk or drive them to school every morning, sometimes preparing their lunches. I would return to their home to do some light cleaning such as making the kids beds if needed, vacuuming, organizing the living room, and doing some occasional laundry and ironing just to maintain an easy flow of the house. I would pick the 5 year old up from preschool and make her some lunch, or we would make a new recipe together which she loved. We would play engaging games and hang out until I would take her to gymnastics and then pick up her brother from school. We all had a lot of fun together and I still visit them although I have been away for 2 years.

I was born and raised in Victoria and come from a family that values community. I live with my fiancé and pet bird, and I like to spend my time being active when I’m not working or taking care of the house. I have always been fond of children, and have enjoyed being a part of my nieces’ and nephews’ lives as the fun aunt that is ready to get involved in which ever activity/play time idea they come up with. I particularly enjoy cultivating a sense of curiosity and adventure. However, just like with adults, I think it’s important to listen and get to know children’s personalities and preferences/dislikes to learn how best to create a safe and happy environment for them to thrive in. I’m also a huge animal lover and I enjoy getting to have the company of any and all animals, and would love to take care of any pets you may have. I have had several nieces and nephews that I’ve babysat over the years. In addition, I’m also a teacher for a kids’ exercise class once a week. My approach to kids is to appreciate the spirit of each child as they are, and to learn about them to engage in activities they find interesting and to encourage that curiosity. I think outdoor play is important, weather permitting, and learning to play indoors with the imagination is also required. I also really enjoy spending time with animals, so if anyone has any pets I wouldn’t mind also caring for them, including taking dogs on walks (even better if we can get the kids out in a walk too!) I have a Masters in Science.

I am Myrissa, a 24-year-old woman deeply rooted in the beautiful city of Victoria, British Columbia, where I was born and raised. I am incredibly passionate about childcare and have devoted six years of my life caring for children of varied ages. Notably, my experience spans toddlers aged 1-2, pre-schoolers aged 3-5, and older children aged 6-9. I believe in the magic of fun-filled activities and innovative art projects, and I never hesitate to get a tad messy! My experience extends to assembling daily routines to enrich children's lives. These routines typically include circle times, snack breaks, nap times, outdoor play, and nature walks. It is an absolute joy watching the little ones explore their boundaries, test their skills and grow as unique individuals. Empathy is the core of my method in childcare - understanding and catering to the emotional needs of each child is integral to their holistic development. Beyond this, being a non-smoker, I guarantee a healthy environment for your children. Moreover, my ability to swim, drive (with a personal vehicle accessible for work), and cater to specially-abled children ensures added safety and convenience. I understand the importance of managing household responsibilities along with childcare. Thus, I am more than willing to take up duties such as cooking, light housekeeping, running errands, grocery shopping, meal preparation for kids, laundry duties, pet care, and supervising other household staff. As far as my professional credentials go, I hold a high-school degree, First Aid Training, CPR Training, and an ECA License. While I am a fluent English speaker and a proud Canadian citizen, I am also amenable to obtaining a police check if required. I look forward to a full-time, live-out nanny position and can comfortably cater to four or more children. I am available throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings from Monday to Friday. My services start at a basic hourly rate of $26, but I am open to negotiation as per your family's unique requirements. If my dedication, experience, and love for what I do align with your expectations, please don't hesitate to reach out. I eagerly await an opportunity to meet you and your precious little ones! Let's discuss how I can be of help to your family. My experience started when I applied to coach gymnastics in early 2019, I coached children from an age range of 18 months to 15 years and quickly found my love of working with young children aged 18 months to 5 years. From that experience I transitioned into the career of childcare working as an educator at an in home daycare with an age range of 12 months to 5 years. Eventually I wanted to branch out and get my early childhood education certificate, I found a welcoming company that hired and helped me get the education I was wanting. During my time there I had the opportunity to work in every program they have including multiple baby and toddler programs and multiple preschools. I was able to take some courses including guiding and caring as well as health safety and nutrition, which lead me to receive a certificate as an ECEA. On top of my ECEA certification I am also certified in Emergency Child Care First Aid CPR/AED level B. I have loved my time with this company and have met many amazing children and families which have then lead me to lots of opportunities for babysitting and nannying. While working at this company I also provided care as a part-time nanny for two children in the mornings ages 5 and 3! Currently and for the past year I have had the honourable opportunity to provide childcare/pet care for two children ages 4 and 7, as well as an amazing 9 year old doodle full-time. My jobs included getting the kids ready, packed, and taking the kids to and from school and spring/summer camps. While the kids are in school/camp I have help around the house doing laundry, meal/lunches prep, dishes and dog walking etc.

My name is Cinthya, and I am a deeply experienced, loving, and dependable nanny and house manager with over 18 years of hands-on childcare experience. Originally from Peru, I began my journey as an early childhood teacher assistant, working with children aged 1 to 5. Since then, I’ve cared for infants, toddlers, school-aged children, and teenagers in a variety of settings across the USA and Canada, always offering personalized care with heart, structure, and intention. I have a strong background in supporting children’s emotional development, validating their feelings, and nurturing their fine and gross motor skills through creative play, crafts, games, and sensory activities. I also teach Spanish in a playful, engaging way—something I’ve seen children really enjoy and benefit from! My approach is a balance of calm, kindness, structure, and initiative. I offer families more than just childcare: I’m here to make your life easier and more joyful. Whether it's helping with school pick-ups, preparing balanced snacks, organizing extracurricular activities, supporting homework, or managing household needs (groceries, laundry, errands, travel prep, and more), I take care of the details so you can focus on enjoying your time as a family. I am a gentle, proactive, trustworthy, and full of love extra set of hands. Once I learn a home’s rhythm and routine, I naturally take the initiative to keep things running smoothly. I’m CPR and First Aid certified and have specialized experience supporting children with special needs, anxiety, and diverse family backgrounds. In my free time, I practice hot yoga, enjoy nature walks, do crafts, read and listening podcasts. I truly love being part of a child’s development and helping them grow in confidence, curiosity, and joy. I look forward to meeting your family and discovering how I can support your unique needs. I have 18 years of experience working with newborns, infants, children, and youth.
