I am English speaking my ancestors are from England, Germany, Ireland, and Scotland. I have worked with seniors most of my life since my 20s as a dietary aide, pharmacy tech, and a companion. I like to cook, show people around town and drive. I have an older dog cocker spaniel which loves to walk and take for a drive. I looked after my mom with Dementia from 2009 to 2013 after my Dad passed of cancer. I have a high school Ged, almost 2 years of the bachelor of science at Douglas College, I have taken bookkeeping and accounting certificate courses in the past and I took the pharmacy technician course 2004

I can extend my expertise in education through tutoring of your children. I am also a class 5 driver. I was an elementary school teacher in the Philippines for 15 years. My childcare experiences include feeding meals to children, bathing and changing clothes, preparing meals and things needed by the kids, supervising and play with them during indoor and outdoor activities, doing art and crafts, assisting in doing homeworks and giving tutorial services if needed. I served 2 families in Canada. One family has 2kids( 9yo girl and 5yo boy). I worked with them for 6mos and the other family has 1 autism daughter. I started working with them since their daughter was 2yo until 8 yrs old. I helped teach school works, do workbooks, reading books, art crafts, do indoor and outdoor activities, helped potty training, prepare and cooked healthy foods preferred by the family, and discipline the child according to parents preferences. I am also a class 5 driver's license holder and I can tell that I am a safe driver for I went to a driving school. I can extend my expertise that I got in my experience as a teacher through tutoring. I have been babysitting since I took the Red Cross Babysitting course at age twelve. I grew up with three siblings so I babysat my little brother and his friends for years. I looked after a four year old boy for two and a half years before moving to Victoria. When taking care of Lake I helped with his developmental set backs by specializing in Child-Led play; as well as outdoor activities and lots of indoor games. I also prepared meals and did light cleaning around the house. During this time I also did part time care for an 18 month old until he was three. Before coming to Lakes family I did part time childcare for a two year old until he was six. I would take Emmett to the park, play with him indoors, put him to bed and stay over night. I have taken a psychology class so I have a basic understanding of how to work around certain problems. I also have a first aid certification, in case of any emergency.
