Hi! My name is Anya, and I’m a second year Psychology of Victoria. I’m fluent in English, Hindi, and Gujarati, and I am developing my Korean skills.
In 2023, I interned as a teaching assistant in India. I had the opportunity to lead classes and own lecture and teaching plans. My responsibilities also included marking and grading students’ work, , and assisting with the handling of disciplinary issues. I primarily taught Grade 7 English, but I also acted as a substitute teacher for science in grade 2 and 3 classrooms. I supervised groups of up to 25 , but most of the time I worked one-on-one with them.
In my spare time, I enjoy painting, drawing, and other forms of crafting. These hobbies fuel my , which helps me engage with students and find various ways of getting ideas across. I tend to have a hands-on approach to teaching. I focus on developing students’ understandings of concepts and providing interactive and to explore the subject am excited for the opportunity to help students develop their skills and work towards their academic goals.
