I am a first-year student at York University's Faculty of Education, pursuing a degree in teaching. As part of my academic curriculum, I am currently engaged in weekly community and school placements. This has provided me with a unique opportunity to acquire practical work experience by volunteering at various educational institutions. Through my experiences, I have honed my skills in working with students, and I have gained valuable knowledge about teaching, classroom management, and student engagement. I am eager to continue my learning journey and to contribute to the field of education through my work as a dedicated and passionate teacher. I am currently employed at Regalo Montessori Private School, where I provide assistance to students in both Casa and Elementary programs, catering to an age group ranging from 3-5 and 6-12. Concurrently, I am pursuing my first year of teacher college at York University. My ultimate objective is to establish a career in the field of education. I am presently undergoing a placement at Alexander Mackenzie High School located in Richmond Hill. In the past, I have also completed a co-op placement at a special needs kindergarten classroom. Additionally, I have a community placement in Scarborough, where I function as a tutor for a program known as Youthlink - Pathways to Education. My experience has enabled me to teach others subjects that I possess a sound knowledge of, and I am always willing to learn more.
